Merovingian Kings & Queens
The Merovingians were the ruling family of the Franks from roughly 481 CE, when Clovis I rose to power, until 751, when the last Merovingian king was overthrown and supplanted by the Carolingian Dynasty. They established the largest, most dominant realm in Western Europe following the fall of the Western Roman Empire, and are often considered the founders of France.

Clotaire II
Clotaire II fut un roi mérovingien des Francs, qui régna de 584 à 629. Il hérita du trône de Neustrie alors qu'il était encore enfant, après l'assassinat de son père, Chilpéric Ier (r. de 561 à 584). Après une longue et âpre lutte pour le pouvoir contre Brunehaut d'Austrasie (alias Brunehilde) et ses descendants, Clotaire réunit toute la Francie sous son règne en 613.

Dagobert I
Dagobert I (l. 605-639) ruled as King of Austrasia from 623 to 634 and as King of All the Franks from 629 to 639. Together with the reign of his father, Chlothar II, the period of Dagobert's rule has been characterized as the peak of Merovingian power. However, Dagobert was the last king of the Merovingian Dynasty to exercise any significant royal authority.
