Are you tired of fights where there’s no umpf to them? Where everyone has various superpowers because feats, and characters are hard to make unique?

Would you be happier if no stat was a ‘dump’ stat that’s just ignored to let others get better? Would you like to see your actual stats grow as you level?

Would you like your character wielding daggers to go faster than that dick with a greatsword?

How about spells, do you want to have more unique magical abilities? be able to cast more spells, have more unique traits to your clerics?

There’s all that and MORE in Hackmaster! Where your intelligence raises your to-hit bonus, wisdom can increase your initiative, and you can LITERALLY make the fastest swordsman in the world, even if your class is Mage.

Where your armor doesn’t make you harder to hit, but your SHIELD does. But your armor does give you Damage Resistance instead, making it so you take less harm from blows.

Where skills are skills, and you don’t just automatically fail any skill test because you didn’t take climbing. (You might not pass either, but that’s because you never trained it. :P)

And, if you want to know more, you can go to the website at Kenzerco and get a free pdf of the most basic version of Hackmaster for free, allowing you a quick build and explanation of the rules, and enough information to take any gaming group to level five.

well like, i feel like often (especially recently) you see content where someone does something absolutely horrible (ESPECIALLY to a woman, for example, revenge porn), and then when people point out how awful that is, theyre like “well, she’s a cheater, so its okay”, which is sort of a culture-war-neutral version of the thing where in sj spaces people will like, harass somebody or get them fired if they say something shitty online, or the thing in weird blackpill spaces where theyll report private snapchats to the IRS and theyre all a version of the same thing where people want to be cruel, but theyve internalized that you shouldnt be cruel to random people, so they have to come up with a reason they “deserve” it
