How would your character choose to die? Do they believe in life after death? If they could be reincarnated, what would they choose to be reincarnated as?

Oh man oh man OC asks whaaat :o

I’m gonna roll a die to decide who to answer these for, hmmm...  Looks like first is Abilene!  She’s my Catfolk wizard in @arsonforcharlie’s Pathfinder game.

So: choose to die of old age, surrounded by loved ones (multiple generations, please, Conroe and Luloh take note!).  Yes, she believes in life after death.  If she could be reincarnated, I think she’d be happy with any sentient race, but why not just ressurection?  I can wait if you need to bring me back!

Next: Trolius!  He’s my House Eiluned Disaster Baby from Changeling: the Dreaming

Choose to die: OMG promises, promises.  Believe in life after death: yes?  If they could be reincarnated - unless something happens to his soul he’s definitely coming back, probably as a Sidhe but let’s not go the asshole route again.

Then: Ivarith, my fetchling summoner from a Kingmaker game.

Choose to die: taking as many people she hates as possible (that’s a lot of people).  Believe in life after death: Yes but she’s not very keen on the idea. If she could be reincarnated: no thanks.  Maybe as a Shadow.

And then Daifan - who is from a super custom word and hard to explain.  They’re a non-binary member of a social underclass, basically.

Choose to die: old, fat and happy, at peace with their found family.  Believe in life after death?  Unsure.  If they could be reincarnated, what would they be? A house cat, who can provide love or spite as either desired or deserved by their own whims.

Finally but certainly not least, Ssoeil, a snake person (snurson!) from one of many connected dimensions.

Choose to die: doing something that will help others, or to remove himself as a burden from society if he ever becomes one.  Believe in life after death: no.  Be reincarnated: Uhh.. maybe as another snake person from his home?

4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know? Oh absolutely.  I think their trial was a major turning point for them in a lot of wasy and there are people they've been able to talk to about it.

16. Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success? I think they see them thtough the same lense - I think they wouldn't consider themself to be successful if they werent' happy, and to succeed at beng happy in their life would be a major accomplishment.

21. If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others? Well, they do believe o some extent that they are cursed, but they recognize that there are things that other people have control of that they do not in terms of how they encounter this in their daily life.  They certainly can recognize the accountability of other people in their suffering.

41. Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first? Oh tough.  I think they do believe they deserve the things that actively work for, whreas other people may not.  I think they feel like corpseborn on the whole deserve better treatment, but that's more a social justice issue than an sense of personal entitlement.

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets? Of course the Moon Orc Batle Dress has pockets!  Half-eaten snacks badly wrapped in napkins, some weird trinkets to give Yoni to put in the bag of trading. Random spell component-y type things?

19. What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before? She's never had a romantic relationship really.  Honesly like... hygiene is proably her biggest ersonal flaw that impacts her relationships negatively, but that is at least somewhat out of her control.

20. In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism? I think she does this a lot in a critical way, but she also just accepts that she'll never be as pretty or as capable or whatever than the people she spends time with.  She can be the most terrifying, when she wants to, and if that's what she has, she'll lean into it.

44. How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it? Pretty easy I think, depending on the kind of love we're talking.  I do't think she would say it if she didn't believe it in the moment.  She would have an easy time saying it to friends/family, but a much harder time wth a romantic proclamation.

Korivan: 7. Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares? I feel like yes, probaby general themes of failure in what he would consider nightmares.

21. If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others? Hmm, it depends.  I don't think he would necesssarily swing to either extreme, but if he thoughth he did somethign that caused negative impct for his tribe, say, I think he'd have a difficult time with that, and if he thought someone was fucking with them hed be pretty unforgiving.

39. Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)? Oh most certainly, and probably were mildly annoyed and got on with whatever they were doing (ritual or hunt or etc).  I doubt it had any deep lasting impact.

Xandhil: 14. Does your character remember names or faces easier? Faces, but his memory is pretty good on the whole.

22. What does your character like in other people? He likes peopel who are as excited to learn new things as he is, but also people who will respect his boundaries.

23. What does your character dislike in other people? Not a big fan of people who are really overbearing and prying and loud, and people who are controlling, cruel and ignorant.

my favorite ship (if applicable) and a cute hc about them: favourites are hard! But for you I’ll go with Dainan ;)  And I think they like to try and one up each other with ridiculous stories that may or may not be true, and the dramatic telling thereof.

my favorite friendship (if applicable) and a cute hc about them: Daifan and llillilli!!  MAKEOVER TIMES!  Llillilli doens’t trust anyone else, and nor should she ;)

my favorite ship (if applicable) and a cute hc about them: Kalman/Eglirine/Katia. When they go up to the hunting lodge the girls like to go out hunting and riding, and Kalman will  take some time alone making sure the lodge is all set up for them when they get bacvk with all the things they want to relax.  They only get to go once or twice a year on their own, and he;ll often have new pieces he’s composed just for them to play for them while they’re unwinding in the evening.

my favorite friendship (if applicable) and a cute hc about them: Kalman & Boden for sure.  Boden will never ever stop teasing Kalman about his personal life, but he’s really so happy for him.

who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts - they’re both prettty good at it.  Junan has better resourced but Daifan is very thoughtful and careful.

who gets up first in the morning - it’s a struggle.  Daifan by a hair.

who suggests new things in bed. Daifan - they’ve got more experience and have had to learn to be creative.

who cries at movies.  Neither of them much, but maybe Daifan.  More because it’s a safe place for emotional catharsis than because anything is particularly sad, and because they know it gives Junan an excuse to be comforting ;p

who fusses over the other when they’re sick - Junan.  Daifan is more practical and know what they are doing, though they are all about the comfort cuddles.

who gets jealous easiest.  Uhh.  I dunno.  Daifan is maybe more insecure but I don’t know if it would come out as jealousy.  It might for Junan though - he;s got some unresolved family issues.

1 - If your character wasn’t an adventurer, what livelihood would they lead? 

I mean they’re not *technically* an adventurer now but if they didn’t work for the land office, I think they’d probably try to find some kind of work in Banei, probably something service-y - maybe working at the tavern.

12 - What is your character’s current goal, summed up in one sentence?

Uhh.  Prevent the formation of corpseborn labour camps :x

32 - What is your character the most insecure about?

I think they have a fair amount of imposter syndrome going on when it comes to their relationships with other corpseborn and the community in Banei, and feel like someone is going to call them out as a hypocrite.

50 - Who in the party would your character prioritize rescuing, in dire circumstances?

Depends on what kid of dire we’re talking about, but either Llillilli or Junan - the latter mostly if it is something he could help mitigate as an Envoy.  They know Llillilli would never leave Jimba though, who’d have a hard time leaving Katenzhi too.  But Llillilli is pretty competent and capable on most fronts other than social ;p
