uhh so I have never had any interest in Shadowhunters but like...Harry Shum Jr's fucking face is perfect and Magnus looks like he should be my new best friend, so I think I'm gonna give it a go...I blame you 100%.

Clarification though, Harry Shum Jr’s everything is fucking perfect, not just his face. (And everyone loves Magnus, he is categorically the best.)

Caveat as well: The first season of Shadowhunters is, arguably, a terrible show in that cheesy-cable-fantasy-series-with-writing-as-subtle-and-heavy-as-a-brick-and-not-nearly-enough-money-for-anything way. I LOVED IT IMMEDIATELY ANYWAYS, but. Some people have trouble Also it gets better. Also also Magnus and Alec and Simon are on point pretty much instantly, even when everyone else has some wibbly-wobbly execution and some terrible clunkers they have to deliver.

BUT the entire thing is emotionally sincere and also very very pretty omg, I get very incoherent very quickly PLEASE JOIN ME IN MY EMOTIONAL MELTDOWN I PROMISE IT’S FUN AND I’M EXCELLENT KEYSMASHING COMPANY.
