yes, millions. I can't understand how us the west are expected to live our normal lives while this continues.

Ashley Phil ( @ashleymilesphil ) lives with fellow queer refugees, in an place where simply being queer is criminalised. this means few job opportunities ( so no income ), limited healthcare, threats, or constant abuse and violence.

there are multiple ways you can donate, to help provide food, clean water, shelter, hygiene, & medication for vulnerable people.

according to the latest fundraiser update, Ashley was fortunately able to evacuate to Canada, yet still depends on donations to make ends meet.

whats happening in Sudan 🇸🇩 ?

whats happening in South Sudan 🇸🇸 ?

in South Sudan, 9.3 million people require humanitarian assistance.

over 2 million people are internally displaced. nearly 400k people have been displaced from January to August this year, due to ongoing armed conflict in the area.

this takes a serious toll on peaceful civilians who didn't choose their circumstances. particularly people like Ashley / Phil ( @ashleymilesphil ), who has to flee multiple places due to persecution of LGBTQ+ individuals.

fortunately, they have been able to evacuate to Canada – yet still relies on donations to secure daily needs and support fellow queer refugees who cannot evacuate at the moment.
