Today’s Card of The Day is a message from our red feathered friend, The Cardinal. The card is from The Soul Reflection’s Animal Spirit Oracle. Cardinals are said to be messengers from heaven and when one appears, it’s a “hello” from a loved one who has passed on. As I was taking this photo this morning, right on cue, a pair of cardinals flew onto my bird feeder just on the other side of the window that I was using the light to take this photo. As I write this, I can’t help but think that the pane of glass between us represents the veil between the living and the dead. You could hear their pretty tweets, and they were calling out to one another, watching over, protecting, and keeping each other safe. And even now, I sit in my living room, faintly I can still hearing their chatter. . For those who have lost a loved one, I am truly sorry! If you listen closely, you can still hear them in the wind. Spirit will communicate through those whispers, through songs, or through those undeniably synchronized signs that immediately remind you of them. And like my Cardinals showing up on cue this morning, all these things are no coincidence. Pay attention to your thoughts as your signs appear. It may be a simple hello. This is really happening! Sitting here on the first day of residency thinking about how surreal this moment is. Who would have thought a jock (with good grades) would be working on a doctorate? "Not I," says the one-eyed cat to the deaf rat. The point is... There's no time like the present to get done what you've only dreamed of doing AND... Put no limitations I m what God will do for you. I heard an entrepreneur answer a question about goal-setting... His response: "I don't set goals." His reasoning is that he doesn't want to put a cap on what he has coming to him. He wants "all God wants to give him." And, while I may not agree with not setting goals, I do agree with the concept. I ask you: What could you achieve if you removed the lid on your blessings? If you stopped thinking about what you could achieve on your own and instead focused on receiving all your Higher Power wants to give you, where will you be? Get it done. Get it right. In that order, people. So many people worry about getting their message perfect before marketing their product or service. And, I'm all for being cost effective but there's a better strategy... Make it really good, launch it, and make it great. I spoke on a summit yesterday. It was the first time I'd given the presentation live. (I don't suggest that. It's just how things worked out.) I crushed the training and made no sales. ...my intention was to move people towards accepting my offer ...to jump on a 15-minute call to see if my lead product, the Wealthy Author Road Map, is a good fit for them and their business. I'm still working on changing my presentations from trainings to sales. I can do better... This is why I've listened to my presentation a couple of times and sit here in a new coffeeshop, Provider Coffee + Long Drinks, going over it for weaknesses. Here's how... In the copywriting world, there's this term called control, the current sales letter. Once the control is making a consistent number of sales, the marketing team attempts to beat the control by... - changing a title or subtitle - rewording bullet points - shifting call to actions on the page - manipulating colors and typography - telling a different story - strengthening verbs and cutting fluff Without a control, there are no sales. Nor is there anything to improve. As for webinars and selling from the stage, a key tenet is to educate your audience on why your main point is important to their success. Design the rest of the presentation to support that main idea before, finally, offering your audience a chance to solve their problem. That means, you don't give away the specifics of your solution. I'm not talking about sales tricks or bait and switch. I'm talking about sales psychology. Educate your audience on WHAT to do so that they can make an informed decision about how they're going to have it solved ...which are the solutions you're selling in the form of... DIY - do it yourself DWY - done with you DFY - done for you So, I sit and rework my presentation.
