My first missed daily check-in... Yesterday I got some bad news about my cousin. I then got my period today, and just like every time, day one I am extremely hungry with really low self control. I just was not in the headspace to restrict my calories today.

Sorry I've been so quiet recently! I've been super busy at work as one of our key staff was off (she's back now thankfully) and my weekends have been more packed than usual. Back to work today. Enjoying my time off from work so much that I'm starting to look for a new job, or might even move back closer to my family. I'd much rather something part time that I can work around my study, working full time and trying to finish a degree has been exhausting.
I found out one of my cousins (very close in age to me) has cancer and it's pretty late stage. I think her news has made me re-evaluate everything. Why am I living so far from my family? Why am I working in a job I hate?
Life is short and could be even shorter than expected, why spend so much of it doing things that don't make you happy?

I feel fantastic today. Finally back to working in the office, walking there and home, I actually took a good look around on my way home today instead of just beelining for home so I can be alone. This city is lovely and I’m glad I was mindful enough this afternoon to remember that.
