Autumn in Daingerfield State Park. East Texas. Most of the fall leaves were already gone when we passed through, but there was enough left to hint at how wonderful it would have looked just a week or two earlier.

This abandoned complex that was once the Berka Auto Center, and also the Ponderosa Chevrolet/Oldsmobile dealership in Daingerfield, Texas, was eventually closed around 2003.   Locals tell us the owner has no plans to do anything with the facility, and has turned down numerous offers to buy, lease, or rent it.
