Teyvat has its own laws, but in another world there is a thing known as gravity. Every bit of matter is attracted towards each other. The larger the mass, the greater the pull. If such a concept existed in the same way in Teyvat, the academics of their cursed group would use such a metaphor to describe Dainsleif. Dainsleif was the Sun of the Sinner's planets. His gravity pulling them into his orbit to spin around him endlessly until they all burned. But considering the state of Teyvat and its place in the grand universe, they tragically were not capable of conceptualizing such a bit of rhetorical language. Not matter how apt. Instead, they must suffer under the simpler understanding that they were doomed to be trapped by their love for him. No pretty metaphor could save them from themselves (and as much as Dainsleif wished it so, neither could he). Aka, the Tragedy of the Five Sinners of Khaenri'ah and Dainsleif, told, as one might expect, in five parts.

I finally make a cover art for the Sinner's fic! This has been in my wips for a while, I'm free haha. Also, chapter 2 has been posted! Rerir time! Surt gets a break, its Rerir angst time.

rerir pins dain down with his weight and shoves his tongue in his mouth as "hello". it is a very affectionate greeting. albeit too affectionate maybe

one thing of dainrir is i don't want people to believe that rerir is being pursued despite his sins out of woobifaction, he's being pursued because dain is greedy.

despite having significantly more knowledge of knaeri'ah than really 95% of teyvat ( obvious reasons ) he still struggles with coming to terms with truth hidden from him. and that includes rerir.

the one person who was closest, still willing to be soft JUST for him. the face of his childhood friend the same and yet so different. he's allowed to indulge himself isn't he? it's in rerirs nature to make himself useful for others.

dain can swallow disgust down, just for now. he's warm, and he's soft, and he can be playful just like he used to be.

i really like young rerir cause he's so puppy but there's charm in after catalyst dainrir as well.

neither has been vulnerable to someone in 500 years, and compared to dain who has the traveler to bond with, rerir has not been shown compassion or even something equivalent to a companion as he's stripped from a body

dain finally discovers the true depth of rerir but it wasn't consensual. it was someone going into his personal memories without him knowing and telling dain second hand. even in final vulnerability he has no agency

having to debate between sealing him away into the prison that killed rerirs partner and made him lose his mind, but letting him be free could lead to disaster for an entire nation

the heartache for rerir about learning tholindis is dead, the person he fought so hard for is gone. and the only remaining close person he has is the same one who imprisoned him.

COULD he really hate dain? i think he'd be mad or at least in some sort of grief but could it really go as far as hatred? does he know the guilt dain feels?
