Blair smiles that Chesire Cat smile again. “The New York Times Magazine is going to be doing a profile on us. Our marriage, our history, our future goals and shared visions.” Dan can’t help himself. “Are you in a relationship or a business arrangement?” “Don’t be naïve, Humphrey. All the best marriages have always been both.” Dan, taken aback by Blair’s apparent totally unawareness of just how sad of a statement that was, is unable to come up with a witty comeback to that. “Wha – what, uh, does any of this have to do with me?” “We’d like you to write it.”

“So,” Dan starts as he sits down in the chair, only to find that it’s several inches closer to the ground than it should be. He’s getting trumped in power plays by a girl who used to wear her school uniform buttoned all the way up to the neck. “I take it you didn’t invite me over to dinner because you loved the book, did you?” “I considered suing, you know,” Blair tells him bluntly. “Blair – “ Nate attempts to cut in, but she goes on, ignoring him. Dan imagines that happens frequently.

“Well, uh,” Nate clears his throat. “We should get back inside. My grandfather will be wondering where we went.” A look of annoyance crosses Blair’s face so briefly Dan almost misses it, before it disappears as if it was never there, allowing Nate to lead her toward the glass door. “But uh, it was nice to meet – see you again, Dan.” “Yeah,” Dan exhales a long puff of smoke. “You too.” He watches them go, this beautiful, unhappy couple he walked the halls with as a teenager, sure he’ll never see them ever again. That doesn’t stop him from writing ten pages about them when he gets home.

They were my gateway poly relationship. and since then I have held them in my heart. They (as you can clearly see) check a lot of boxes for me, and all three of them have so much impact on my viewing of the gg clubhouse.
Honestly, it was an underrated trio.

They are so sweet, and while I don't have too much to say about them (that honor belongs to @strideofpride who is The Rufly Champion), they are the fandom parents, and they bring me comfort.

Truly the sweetest ship that I have come across in the gg fandom, and only haters cannot appreciate the beauty of this relationship. What Serena found in Blair and Dan, she gets in Vanessa! Vanessa deserves someone who is sweet and kind (much like Nate), and she needs someone like Serena to pull her out of her head and just live her life!!!
