8pm EDT most days this month... Laura Ivins will be live tweeting Věra Chytilová’s Daisies! These are images from her Twitter feed from last night’s event - Day 2! #20days1film #daisies1966 #DirectedbyWomen So many different ways to engage in the #DirectedbyWomen Worldwide Film Viewing Party!. How are you celebrating women directors this September?
1? 2? 7? 20? 24?
1: What did you do in 2015 that you’d never done before? a lot. i was in a completely different setting, with completely different people in my life. most of all i think i allowed myself to connect with people in a way i hadn’t really before. but also. i fell in love
2: Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? ok so i had a vague list of new years resolutions, the one that sticks in my mind is don’t get addicted to smoking which i kept. i didn’t make proper resolutions this year because i didn’t feel the need to ~transform~ myself anymore
7: What dates from 2015 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? feb 14 (moved to sydney), march 2 (started uni), june 19 (met molly), and september 20 :))
20: How did you spend Christmas? like any other day
24: What was the best book you read? hmm i really didn’t read as many books as i should’ve but probably just kids by Patti Smith waaaay back in january when i was still in nz sitting on the deck of our temporary apartment, with middlesex by jeffrey eugenides in a close second (shit still need to return to perri)
thanks jessie <3 x
58? 56? 34? 6? 20?:))
58. Ever have a Deja-vu feeling? every few days, yeah
56. Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid? hairdresser, “popstar”, editor of teen vogue, fashion designer
34. Listening to? break the rules by charli xcx lol
6. What are you excited for? seeing emily again, seeing molly, secret santa exchange, going to nz + melbourne hopefully !!!
20. Are you starting to realize anything? i’ve realised a lot over the past few months, and i think it’s all very interesting (sorry this is so vague. i’m listening to spooky black and drinking red wine i don’t feel particularly eloquent)
thank you jessie!! <3
jessie, shane(theres always an interesting story to go with a shane)
(i’m using fb to remember if there were people at my school with the names being sent)
there were three jessies in my year that i know of, didn’t know any of them very well. oh there was another one whose name always confused me like was it ella or jessie, i always heard people referring to her by different names. and then someone told me after school finished that she was a pathological liar and would just make up stuff about her life?? i don’t think i ever talked to her probably
can’t think of any shanes :( actually i think my best friend when i was 6-8 dad’s name was shane and he was always friendly. i think me and my mum were in the city and bumped into her family a few years ago after i hadn’t seen her since primary except for one time! her parents were both really young and radiant. i bumped into my primary school friend in a cafe in july when i was visiting auckland which was cool and strange
