Heya! I was really nervous to start talking to you - not bc you intimidate me per say, but more bc I kinda look up to you and I wanted to make a good impression haha. Anyway I'm the daisy anon :) Nice to officially meet you, Ketto! Point of this ask is I decided to start reading your series the Ties That Bind - back when I was a lurker, I read so much of the original story, and I just want you to know that I loved it so much. But I think you said you were rewriting it? Where should I start? <3

Your words mean a lot, and I'm glad it's not scariness so much as admiration, even if I am just another silly on the internet :)

The Ties That Bind is currently being rewritten. I threw a lot of stuff into the story though, so I'm unwinding the threads like a giant basket of yarn so I can knit them together properly again, and it's taking a bit because I keep running into knots.

Anyways! My hope is to (maybe?) try and post chapter one of the rewrite this month, but for the time being, if you wanted to re-read the original, it's still in order (sort of?). I added two new stories to the series recently, but they're both unrelated to the main plot and more focused on Warriors relationship with his wife, so they can be read anytime (they're currently at the end of the list)

Also, if you have any questions about the story, or it's rewrite, PLEASE ask! I LOVE talking about my work, and sometimes doing so can show me how to work out another knot :)

Omg, I once read a fic where YN and H had been married for like 4 years and one day she found out he had been having an affair for almost a year, she left, asked for a divorce, and I was like "good! YN's not a dumbass in this!"

9 months gone by and she went to their house to get the rest of her stuff, he was there and she told him she was seeing someone and was happy, he got all pissy and asked her how she could move on so quickly after 4 years or marriage and she told him that he moved on before they were divorced, I was even prouder after that... There was some kind of time jump and they saw each other again and H started crying and apologizing again and she forgave him... And it showed like two years later they were getting married again and had a baby and I was just SO dissapointed...

Okay so I’m seeing how awkward dinner in Pirate AU is and someone needs to fix that. So. It’s super awkward in the beginning. There’s the pirates who are awkward because they’e having dinner with *royals* and for the royals it’s awkward because *these are the people they’re been hunting down the past few whatever time period*. (Be it with good intentions. Also Techno is just awkward in general.)

And Quackity? Quackity is terrified. He used to work for a noble (if I remember right?). He has heard about Phil and Technoblade, Technoblade especially. But he’s here for his friends so he’s trying. Although all of this would be easier if Karl would stop trying to convince him to talk to Techno and face his fears. (Assuming they picked up Karl somewhere along the way. Maybe he was just a stowaway that they discovered in the beginning and he just keeps showing up seeming out of nowhere somehow.)

And Karl won’ stop bothering him and kicking him under the table so he finally breaks and starts talking to Techno, who, being Techno, is somehow starting to terrify him even more. It’s awkward for Techmo and scary for Quackity and *Karl just keeps making faces at him from across the table* and he finallybreaks and asks Techno out on a date (as a joke) to ‘get over his fear’.

Wilbur and Tommy hear this and they burst out into laughter because What the hell!?! Philza smiles. Seeing how Techno is getting red and people are laughing Quackity gains some courage and continues (poor Techno he can’t run away because this is a family dinner and he hasn’t seen his brothers in so long). This continues until Sapnap (who has definitely leftDream and joined L’Manberg at some point) takes pity on Techno and fake-cries about how Quackity is leaving him and Karl.

Things get chaotic at the table but at least people are starting to have fun and relax, kind of. (No way anybody is ever letting Techno forget about this though) ~~🌼

This is perfect. Just Quackity asking Techno on a date being the thing that is the ice breaker for everyone is great. This is great. And then we got Sapnap who is fake-crying about Quackity leaving him and Karl. Ha! I love this.

The blade's heavy in his paws, heavier than the last time. Probably because he knows more what it fells like when he does this. He didn't even manage to get all of his second ear off the last time, only taking off the top half, but this time he'd make sure to get it right. Maybe if he's determined enough, it won't hurt as bad.

The metal of the blade is cold against his temple, but he holds it close there so that he can make sure to get all of his second ear, this time. Maybe he'd go in and fix the other one too, afterwards.

With deep breaths, he tries his best to not think too much about it, and pushes the blade down.

Luckily for him, he does manage to get it all the way through in one push.

It takes half a second for the searing pain to set in and he's wailing on the floor again. Distantly, he registers that he really hasn't changed that much since the last time. No stronger, and no braver than before. Still the same stupid mutt, damaging his owner's property once again.
