ik im on the minority but i need the writers to give me daisygarth. im so sorry i swear i tried with agnesgarth but they're not giving what i thought they were going to give; idk if its just the actors not having romantic chemistry or the writers not doing their job developing their relationship but its not working.

daisy and garth have so much chemistry and i know that the writers are doing something with them bc that scene in ep 5 when he got closer to her and she got all nervous???? garth did that like 5 seconds before the commanders started leaving that room. he deadass just got close to her bc he wanted to. then when she's asking how he's going to get out of his marriage with becka and he explains that he never expected love in the way she's referring to, all while his eyes flickered between her eyes and lips?? there was a vibe and daisy felt it too, that's why she had to look away. and then ep 9 when his voice and eyes go all soft because he was worried sick for her???

im sorry agnesgarth but youre BONES. i think garth does care about agnes because she's such a sweet girl but not #likethat and agnes is not in love with him lets be honest she doesnt know him at all. he's just a fantasy.

Promising ending, but with the Season endings always beeing so much bigger in THT, I assumed they might do something more risky, given they have another season, but I liked it.

Some notes:

I called Becka's punishment would be worse than her father's, it's exactly as I thought it would be: she is a woman who killed a *man

On a side note, interesting detail that a dentist can also be a Commander. I know it's a social class and not a position but what qualifies one to get to that level is curious. I do not think they have private practices, so is it based on social capital? Money they had before?

EDIT: I checked and their class is Professionals, which is different than Econopeople as they have different skills and use to the Commanders. Apparently some Professionals apparently can be Commanders, which is denoted by the star on their uniform, though this is not the case with Dr. Grove.

Agnes trying to manipulate her fiance was very June of her, as someone already mentioned. I knew her confessing to Weston that she was one of the girls Grove assaulted would negatively impact her engagement, though I'm glad she (and no one this season!) has to marry that man.

June discovering that Hannah is so close again 🥹 how many years has it been since she had any news of Hannah, how many years since she could even try? I am still catching up on THT but her devotion to Hannah/Agnes is just so touching.

That being said, there is a lot to consider with regards to 1) what these kids know about their own origins, their mothers and parents 2) what ANY of them know about June Osborne as a person, because Agnes' immediate reaction being "the terrorist?!" was intriguing.

the answer to 1 is that they know that they were Handmaids. If they understand the circumstances of their kidnapping/adoption, I'm not certain. It would need older kids who remember teaching the younger ones and I don't think that happened a lot

2 is also fascinating because yes, June has been literally haunting the MacKenzies since before Paula was one, so it's no surprise that she would be familiar with the name, or would have heard it in the house, but to know of her involvement when they can't read and seem to never listen to the radio or have important, political announcements at school makes me curious how she does know in the first place. Commander MacKenzie is obviously well-placed and influential in his own right, but not that much.

Also, Agnes knows Daisy is Mayday now. Can't wait for their alliance to fall apart briefly when they discover that Daisy lied abt Grove, leading to Agnes' confession to Becka and Becka's patricide.

Speaking of Becka, was that a local sedative for her wedding night that Aunt Estée was giving her with the injection? I assume so.

Aunt Estée definitely has some sexual trauma which is weird because why did she then join the let's sexually abuse and enslave women country? I doubt she has interactions with many handmaids though.

Garth locking Becka to that room? Also, were they at the Groove residence, given that there were some medical tools in the background when they enter. If so, that is a TERRIBLE set-up why do they hate all of these children so much?!

Daisy sending a message to June and Nichole reference with the little bag and the kids shoes around! I hope she's still close to Luke or Moira for Nichole to have some adults around while mommy goes to work!

Also, good on June to secure that house, looks great!

Girl power is great! Not sure what type of army Daisy has in mind bc she's a very action-driven person and these girls would be most suited for intelligence gathering, but that will be the worthwhile thing to watch next season, I guess.

The set-up of the next season is so far done with Garth and Becka's marriage, the girls being at school and Agnes revealing to Aunt Lydia that she knows about her mother. What I would like to know is WHAT THE FUCK IS THE DEAL WITH DAISY?! I am disappointed that they built such a mysterious background for one of their leads and neither the narrative nor the character seem that interested in it. Even if Daisy is not Nichole and also she doesn't care about why her parents were killed/she's being hunted...I had hoped she would be at least a little bit more curious. If they didn't want the audience to wonder they could have just told us what it is, but they haven't and I'm upset that they didn't set up anything about it. Hopefully next year.
