The other day, I was casually browsing the Tumblr of the creator of MDHM. I decided to search for "James" (One of Alan's step brothers)
And surprisingly, James fits the Daisy effect!!!!
If you don't know or don't want to read, that's okay! I'll give you a summary.
I created an effect called "Daisy". If Liy (Liy= Name of that person's category) accidentally finds someone who looks like her Lemon(an abuser)—We call him "Al", I changed the name to "Mimic"(Mimic= someone who makes Liy remember her Lemon) because AL sounded too much like Alan. Ahem, James fits this effect because he would kind of be her "Mimic".
He looks like her Lemon. Look at this precious boy
(This arts are not mine! If you want the original, just ask in the comments and I'll give u the link)
And in fact, Alan's brothers (Jules and Claude) are somewhat similar in personality to Soren!
I mean, Jame's hair? Skin?
And I hadn't even noticed before!!!
Now, look at Carver. He would be her Mimic.
Honestly, I'd say that if Carver, James, and Lily were in a room, Lily would go to Carver. But James has this thing about calling his one the "Doll face," the same thing Soren did with her. It depends on which one she meets first. The full game hasn't been released yet, so who knows?
Lily falls in love with strange people, OR physically identical people to Soren (not exactly identical... Practically anyone with orange hair and that skin tone). But James is an exception since he is VERY similar.
She's more drawn to personality, but physical and specific stuff also catch her attention. If you have one of those personality traits but not the looks, it might take longer for her to like you.
If you have practically all the personality traits, but aren't similar, then she will like you! The same goes if it's the opposite.
All "Liy" have different tastes! This is what Lilith likes
• Physically
That person must have the following physical traits
Orange hair, or just a color similar to orange.
Sharp teeth, fangs!!!!!
The only thing she remembers about Soren is his eyes, so the color orange is the most important thing! If it's not orange, your eyes must be something very unique/out of the ordinary, like Carver who has no pupils.
Sing, hum, whistle; anything related to music (Just like Stu does!)
A little shorter than her, maybe 5'9 slightly taller.
Smells like blood, otherwise, cigarettes, beer or simply soap (lol, that's much easier).
Dark circles under the eyes.
One thing I would add to personality was "flirty, but ONLY if that person has more than 4 of these things in "physically", then she'll accept it just fine, otherwise you will be like Alan and she will just cry.
Lily often confuses love, to the point that she has a very twisted view. Like, you're abusing her but then you don't talk to her? Then you're sorry and love her!
Lily confuses all kinds of love as the same thing, the kind of love her brother had and the kind Soren had? To her, it's all the same. It's love. Now that she has amnesia, instead of knowing who did what, she STRAIGHT UP likes these features in her non-existent partners.
She confuses love with friendship too! So some traits of her friends make her think that this is the same kind of love that Soren had for her. When she got amnesia, she kind of forgot about Stu but still appreciates the same things.
Let me show you Lily's reasoning.
*"Sibling love = "bad. I hate it." +
Soren's love: "I LOVE YOU. FOREVER. YES. GIVE IT TO ME, REGARDLESS OF HOW I FEEL." +
Friends' love: "yay~ friends! They make me happy!"
=
"... Ah. Okay. Sure, I guess."*
In other words, traits from her brother fucked her up so much that she forgot about them, and now she finds it attractive. Her friends were the only ones she could love without hurting herself. That's why she's so obsessed with love nowadays. Soren loved her, but in a messed-up way that traumatized her.. She still believes love is worth it, that's why Lily is "Alan's friend". She had befriended many men in order to replace Soren and to heal herself, but they all gave the same answer.
"He's not worth it.... he's not the one."
• Personality
Weirdo, odd behavior.
Constantly blinking
Bad posture, or smt like that.
Kind of a "manipulator," I guess.
Lazy.
Suicidal or pessimist
Makes threats constantly.
Violent tendencies
Emotionally absent
Someone who make jokes, any kind of humor, even if it upsets her.
A little bit of "I might disappear for months" energy.
Tells her what to do “for her own good” = instant obedience mode activated.
Calls her stupid but pets her hair after = brain short-circuits into purring puppy mode!
Poor Lily has been touch-starved for so long, even the most pathetic scraps of affection probably make her swoon... Unless you're Alan.
Ship: what do u think a Lilith X Carver relationship would be? I remember u saying that it would be hard... care to explain?
AND WHAT DO U MEAN SHE GOT PREGNANT WITH SOREN???!
(Edited!!)
Well, actually that's changed quite a bit now. Lily would become totally obsessed with Carver.
AND CALM DOWN BEFORE YOU PRESS THAT LOCK BUTTON!
And if you are sensitive to SA topics, I advise you to leave.
Ahem— This is going to be very long. As I mentioned, Lily has trauma because of Lemon (Lemon: Nickname of her ex-boyfriend Soren; over the years she forgot his real name and only called him that). We don't say that S~
I wanted to create something new and since MDHM is about quirks, then why not create this??Adding, I found the term schizophrenia a bit too much, so that's why I created it. I was inspired by the senpai effect for this: from Yandere Simulator.
Daisy is nothing more than a reaction that repeats from person to person, so it ends.
Let's call the abuser one who's going to start all this "Daisy".
The victim who will repeat this act is named "Lemon".
The one that stops the repetition is referred to as "Liy".
If Liy accidentally finds someone who looks like her Lemon—We call him "Al".
...It's like an infection, but it's not at the same time. That's why it's just an effect. It can be permanent or not.
NOW! { I'll explain it step by step in case you don't understand! When I say Daisy, it's because of Soren's ex-girlfriend, but the name of the effect is called that. This effect is nothing more than a case of sexual abuse in a cycle.
In the Daisy stage, it works as follows: Daisy finds someone she likes - either sexually or romantically. Then she acts. She simply plays with her new plush toy. After a year or so, she disappears somehow. When Daisy returns, she will try to win Lemon back, but most of the time the Lemon has already forgotten about Daisy and is now with "Liy".
Now with Lemon stage: Lemon is found by Daisy. When the first abuse is committed, Lemon tends not to react. When Daisy disappears, he only searches for her—Lemon's memory is not the same after Daisy, so he can't fully remember Daisy. Anyone similar is good enough.
Now with a "Liy" type. I'll explain it with names:
Soren started dating Lilith. He abused her. So, when she managed to burn the photos, she didn't need to see him anymore. With that, he disappeared for a while. Lilith missed him—not him, but what he made her feel. Not sexually... Just love. When he disappeared for so long, Lilith began to get a habit of having severe headaches, and realized she couldn't remember things... But she still felt something. When the incident happened, she stabbed Soren and 'threw the trash away', she kind of forgot about him. Kinda. Since Lilith is a "Liy"—one who stops the cycle—she has no interest in romance. However, if she ever finds someone who resembles Soren, she will try to be with that person.
Adding some other things about the Daisy: Daisy can be of any gender— Daisy has one quirk: she never trades her favorite toy. Daisy may or may not have romantics feelings for her victim. Sometimes Daisy isn't necessarily angry, and maybe she doesn't even realize what she's doing to Lemon.
For Daisy, it's just about relationships, kisses and activities. Therefore, They don't care about their partners' mental state and tend to always have the same egocentric, selfish, and tend to have countless outbursts pattern.
For the Lemon: They tend to be unprepared when their "partner" disappears and they begin to suffer from partial 'amnesia', their personality is shaped based on how Daisy was or how Daisy treated them. Ex:
Daisy has a thing for cutting her partner's arm. When she disappears, Lemon starts copying it. This copy may be slightly different and does not follow the same style. As in the example, if Daisy has a somewhat violent kink, Lemon will have violent tendencies and this will affect his personality.
If Daisy treated Lemon like a dog; this will be his new personality.
Lemon seek validation and affection, but they need someone who looks like their Daisy. It doesn't have to be similar; just one characteristic is enough. Ex: Soren's Daisy had dark hair, covered her left eye with her bangs, and was a goth. When Lemon was abused and forgot about her— His new partner, Lilith, had an almost identical appearance: Her hair was a dark shade of red, almost black. Due to the fact that the dye she used to color her hair was of poor quality, causing it to be permanent. And she was an emo.
Regarding the victim: When it is practiced for the first time, the victim is left in the following condition: they hear Daisy's voice, seeing things that aren't there, confusing reality with imagination and having non-existent tactile sensations. Disorganized thinking: difficulty in organizing thoughts and expressing ideas coherently. Disorganized behavior: whether inappropriate or unpredictable, especially with strangers. Their mind's eye may be filled with illusions, magical thinking, superstitions, but also anxiety, irritability, and a persistent malaise called dysphoria. They feel dirty, And because the body is precisely stimulated to react to any touch, this makes Lemon even worse. As mentioned, they hate Daisy, so why do their bodies react like this every time Daisy arrives? That's why they feel even worse. Lemon likes the affection and tenderness that Daisy shows, but he hates being touched by her.
Unfortunately, nobody knows about it because it is a case of sexual abuse involving a single person. Daisy doesn't change toys. These victims are people who are not stable or good at dealing with strong emotions or vulgar touches. In other words, their minds are sensitive and they can't stand so much self-loathing. In the vast majority of cases, they torture themselves until death arrives or shut themselves off and break down over anything, maybe both of them. The torture process can be slow or immediate, they may not even notice they are doing it. They practically become a puppet for Daisy.
As I mentioned, it's a cycle, but then it can be stopped. The last person to stop the cycle has their personality frozen by trauma. (Remember: Abuse is abuse, no matter how it's done. All abuses are wrong. None are milder or worse.) "Severe case" means that the person who stops the effect, experiences the most intense emotions and tends to completely withdraw, like Lilith. Since this, she cut off all contact with anyone, her personality froze and she had to rely on herself to break free from this "freeze".
Options for Liy:
Liy finds someone weird, someone who reminds them of Lemon. When that happens, their internal springs start spinning again and they become extremely dependent on their partner. Despite this, the trauma remains, but in a milder form. The trigger can't and won't be activated even if Al forced too much, but this is rare.
If they don't find the "Al", they remain alone for the rest of their lives.
One victim of this effect stayed with the abuser. Within two months, suicide was committed.
Liy can't take it anymore—Kill herself.
Soren, carrying all of this, his pains were confused—Spin, spin, spin. Right round— His head spun like a carousel. Now exchanging them for something he thought HE felt. All the cuts? All the hatred he had, suddenly turned into appreciation. Now that he loved her, he simply couldn't bear it when Daisy left him feeling like nothing... Where. Where. Where?
Oh. Yeah. She didn't go on vacation. No, no, no, no. She's here. Not Daisy. Lily is here. Who's Daisy?
When Daisy passed through his mind, it was seen as a blur, a static face but still, black eyes and a smile. Restart. Repeat.
Friendships can lead you to the right person... Logan led him to the right person—to the most precious one. His broken doll.
That way, Lily had no one to talk to. Even being in a group, it feels very lonely when you know everything is forced. But Lemon? He was everything. Someone she loved and the only person who seemed to truly wanted her and needed her. That felt good. This made her forget about her problems. But why does love feel so painful when you feel your body being torn apart with a dagger by the same face that said "I love you" so many times? Was she getting tired of him? And why was the space between her legs wet even though she hated him?... She felt selfish. He was an object that made her smile every day, but did he have another purpose for her? Even with those feelings, he made her happy when no one else could. Those were good times. She couldn't deny it, she liked him. That's why she's still obsessed with him: she fears him for causing her pain, but she would quickly return to his arms if she knew he would never do it again... Which exactly is not the point. You know how the story ended.

Answering your question: Lily would be intrigued if she saw Carver; she'd probably want to get closer to him to examine his entire appearance. He would kind of be her "Al". When she sees that he's kind of "weird," she'll almost automatically want to follow him. Probably anything he said or did would make her blush. The weirdest he was, the crazier she would become about him. It would certainly be a very funny and kind of quirky relationship, considering the fact that Lily so suddenly changed her features because of a single glance. She wouldn't mind anything about Carver, as long as he was there for her at all times. After suffering from amnesia, Lilith is now completely loyal to him and genuinely in love with Carver.
With Carver in her life, Lily would be staring at him all the time. That blurred face now becoming his. In other words, Lily is canonically meant to belong to Carver actually (Poor Alan—)
And the other question— Well, Lemon was wild... Lilith did indeed become pregnant. Sadly, the baby died due to problems in the uterus. And by "uterine problems" I mean drugged. Do you know how messed up her body was? Not drugs like cigarettes (although she used them, but not as much as Logan did— She hates smoking because she's 'allergic' to it; she's not actually addicted. She only use it to look cool in front of her brother's friends) or anything. Drugs like pills that her dearest Lemon gave her, her body was too weak- she wasn't sleeping or eating properly.
I doubt Lily would be able to take care of a baby since her own life was bad anyway...
