Fic where the Enclave remnants were in a polycule with Arcade's parents and they were just the most overbearing gang of parents imaginable but then they all break up when Arcade is a teenager and he's like the stereotypical divorced parents kid but there's five of them.

During For Auld Lang Syne Arcade's like "I guess they can help at Hoover Dam, but I really just want to stop having to go to five different places every time I want to talk to my parents."

Currently working for the Followers as a gun for hire, but it's getting rather dull. Aside from protecting them from the occasional thug looking to intercept supply shipments, there isn't much to do around here. The one researcher I liked who I could chat up about liquor got transferred, and the rest of the docs are pretty uptight about my kind of fun."

You've really gotta respect Daisy Whitman's hiding in plain sight. The woman lives in the same Motel as two ex-NCR First Recon Snipers (Boone's room is underneath hers) and accross fron an ex-NCR Ranger's bungalow (an ex-Ranger who is in contact with NCR constantly).

And unlike, say Judah or Orion who only bring up their pasts during the quest, she openly admits to previously being a Vertibird Pilot who went on 71 missions and was active near Klamath at least once. While she doesn't outright state she was Enclave if you ask if she was a Pilot for the NCR she literally says ""For?" No, not exactly. It was a long time ago. Things are a lot different these days, and those days are way behind me." and, like, the only person more open about their Enclave past who lives in a populated area is Henry and he's living with Super Mutants far away from NCR territory.

But no, she's just there in Novac, she helps dismantle engines and stuff. Daisy Whitman is a valuable member of her community who also just happens to constantly make it very clear that she's got a very questionable past.

Yeehawgust 22: Reach For The Sky

The Second Battle of Hoover Dam has broke out, and now, the Remnants, under the ‘smooth’ sailing of Daisy, are once again back in action. 471 words.

At Hoover Dam, the battle finally broke out. After weeks of tension, steady build-ups on every side of the war, the Legion had attacked. However, unlike how the last effort had been, this one was not just two sides of a coin. A new player had been added to the Battle, and, shockingly, it wasn't House.

The Remnants didn't care much for this at all. When the day came, Arcade arrived back at the Remnants base, and the hatch leading outside slowly opened. Daisy cheered happily, being the first to load onto the vertibird.

Before Arcade could follow, Judah stopped him by placing an armored hand on his covered shoulder. "You're ready for this?"

Arcade nodded. "I am."

He patted his shoulder, hopping up into the vertibird and holding a steady hand out to help him up. Gratefully, he accepted. "Welcome aboard, then.

"Everyone else gradually joined them, Moreno staying carefully as far away from Johnson as possible, which meant that they found themselves on either side of an annoyed-looking Henry. Judah addressed the group as a whole while Arcade took up an awkward stand beside Daisy.

"Now. Our job here is to assist the Securitrons under Arcade's friend, alright? And we were asked not to target any of the NCR." He spared a stern look at Moreno, who, having already gotten the same talk from the Courier just over a month ago, huffed in irritation. "The Legion is our main enemy, which means we're aiming for red and leather skirts. Objections?"

Nobody spoke up.

"Good. Daisy, make sure you're ready to come back once it's all over, alright?"

"Sure."

Judah nodded. "Alright. Arcade, I'd take a seat. I know how Daisy can get."

Raising an eyebrow beneath his helmet, he did so, and, directly after Judah gave her the go ahead, Daisy placed her hands back on the long forgotten control panel, feeling herself grin in a way she hadn't in decades. Based entirely off of her memories of soaring in the sky, swooping in the air like she had been made to do so, the vertibird followed her motions, and slowly, they were being lifted up.

Moreno grumbled to himself from the back, but Daisy couldn't at all see where the disdain came from as they raised into the sky, almost high-fiving the clouds with their wings. The vertibird shook in the air, and Arcade grabbed at the sides of his chair. Judah chuckled a bit, patting his shoulder again.

"If that's scary, wait 'till we get on moving!" Daisy called, and suddenly the vertibird surged in the sky, like an eagle taking flight. One of the Remnants grumbled, but Daisy sighed contentedly. The clouds had welcomed her and the vertibird back with a kind hug, and the wind served as her guide, just like all those decades ago.
