A Ranger was married to a Courier. The Courier was on her way to deliver a package, got shot in the head. Did not survive, neither did the baby she was carrying. The Ranger then began a path of bloody revenge; slaughtered half the Khans, several Legion patrols, and one of the families of The Strip. Tho time grew him bitter, he got close to a fellow Ranger, He and Ghost ended up having a baby girl, who they called Morrigan. The Ranger left the Mojave two years later.

You've really gotta respect Daisy Whitman's hiding in plain sight. The woman lives in the same Motel as two ex-NCR First Recon Snipers (Boone's room is underneath hers) and accross fron an ex-NCR Ranger's bungalow (an ex-Ranger who is in contact with NCR constantly).

And unlike, say Judah or Orion who only bring up their pasts during the quest, she openly admits to previously being a Vertibird Pilot who went on 71 missions and was active near Klamath at least once. While she doesn't outright state she was Enclave if you ask if she was a Pilot for the NCR she literally says ""For?" No, not exactly. It was a long time ago. Things are a lot different these days, and those days are way behind me." and, like, the only person more open about their Enclave past who lives in a populated area is Henry and he's living with Super Mutants far away from NCR territory.

But no, she's just there in Novac, she helps dismantle engines and stuff. Daisy Whitman is a valuable member of her community who also just happens to constantly make it very clear that she's got a very questionable past.

With Ranger Andy, it started with the grappling.

Well—not quite. Tempest talked him up a bit first, because Andy was burly and hot and he seemed lonely. The darker-brown blast scars on the side of his face and neck only added to the rugged charm, really. Turned out the ex-Ranger was feeling down on himself because of his bad leg. And Tempest, well, he wouldn't feel right about leaving him sad. He flirted a bit, reminded him that (great as the packaging was), Andy was worth more for his mind.

Andy chuckled, dropped his eyes a little shyly, and offered to teach Tempest a Ranger move for his trouble. Tempest never had excelled at any type of wrestling that wasn't actually just wrastling, but for the chance to get his hands on a hot Ranger? Sign him up for the bruises!

Courier Tempest finds a hot guy to seduce immediately upon arriving in Novac.

Right: Andy, a retired NCR Ranger residing in Novac. —"I turn around and there's this kid, just skin and bone, and he's looking up at us and he's scared half to death. Been hiding in a closet. I go to grab him out of there and I notice he's holding something in his hand. Something metal. He shuts himself back inside the closet and that's when I see the grenade he's left by my feet. They do it a lot, the Legion. Using kids. They know we'll hesitate. Anyway, that was the first time [I injured my leg]. Second time, I fell down those stairs in front of the motel. Just in case I got to thinking I'd put it all behind me."
