hiii so @//pansear-doodles (idk if they want to be tagged but they seem really cool and I don't wanna bug them) has this anthro au that gave me brain worms, so I decided to throw my hat into the ring with some ideas I had for an anthro au of my preexisting rain world au idea (the found family one everyone seems to like so much)

every iterator is basically a metropolitan area, with the outer expanse being like the country. fp is like... used by everyone as a means of ascension now, and people who acquire too much damage to go on are given the option to die. that's what happened to survivor (vivo) and monk (marigold)'s parents. (also parental units are common, yes but slugs are asexual by default bc I didn't want to give artificer a dead mate lol, poor girl has been through enough.) moon is broken down still, but is very well taken care of, and I'm debating on whether or not it was still pebbles' fault...

spearmaster (sabry), rivulet (ripley), and hunter (sayda) all move in next door to artificer (asiya), gourmand (gundruna), and their foster kids atm (previously mentioned vivo and marigold.) they're all pretty cool and everything is chill for a while, until this unsettling and traumatized child from the horribly forlorn sliver of straw district moves in with the foster parents. saint (seraphim) is deeply off-putting, but no one can place why. surely, nothing is going to happen as a result of welcoming them into their little friend group...

anyways WOW that's about it. they've been on my mind a lot recently sorry aisghsshsh

i still have to make the “dead” versions but here’s half of the arena meme (originally by @pansear-doodles, sorry for the @ ajshsjsh-)!! i didnt do enot because this is all designs for my silly au and nightcat IS enot, so their dead sprite will reflect that-

sorry for not live-blogging saint as much. I don't want to spoil it for anyone because HOLY FUCKING SHIT has it been a trip. I will say, once again, no shock, that pebbles and moon almost got me. like they get me to cusp of crying and then I'm like "no daisy you're not crying over the cat game"

idk I just love sibling sets, I can relate to them on some level, esp if they're tragic in some way. (not that my sister and I have a shitty relationship BY THE WAY we're actually abnormally chill with each other.) but yes those kinds of family dynamics are like a baseball bat to the knees.

anyways. still fuck YOU for everything being a one hit kill, rain world, that shit is GRATING after a while. although, of course, w/o spoiling anything.... lol. still fuck you one-bite-andy.

after I'm done with saint, I need to complete artificer (I love her sm but I got mega distracted, sorry ficer </3) and then. and don't mark my words on this. maybe hunter. maybe. I've never beat it before due to the cycle limit.

I think saint and arti would fucking DESPISE each other on principle, at least at first. that being said I agree they should be gay too. also? Spoilers ahead, giving you some space

the fact that they’re both echoes HAUNTS me they have such staying power as a duo. imagine being stuck somewhere with someone you despise (bc of personality differences) but they’re the only one you have. Ough. enemies to lovers potential is STRONG artisaint folks are onto something. and so are fishstick folks but that’s for another time (in my au, riv and spear have a more familial relationship but outside of that I can see the appeal)

I got turned around while playing spearmaster. I wanted to see moon to get the mark of communication and THEN go see pebbles, to see what he says, if possible. my fucking overseer lied to me.
