The Dakota Crescent used to be overrun by cats. I wonder what happened to them? Were they resettled? Did they move away when the people did? . . The other day, after early dinner at the Old Airport Road Hawker Center, I decided to stroll around the deserted Dakota Crescent or Old Kallang Airport Estate. Apart from mozzies, it was actually a pleasant stroll with loads of huge old leafy trees to give me shade from the hot sun. Dakota Crescent is a lovely leafy tree-lined estate with magnificent trees that reach out to the skies. I wonder if they're as old as the estate - over 60 years? Will they be just uprooted and thrown in the back of a disposal truck? . .
