The Witcher stopped where he was in the midst of observing and following the many legged tracks, viper eyes raising from them and to his forest surroundings. His enhanced senses picked up the steady, familiar sound... not those of monsters, but of a person's heartbeat... another scent... quiet breaths. And here he had been thinking he was the only person out in this remote area... perhaps the person could be of assistance... and if not, better to get a potential problem out of the way directly, instead of letting it follow him onward. Potentially interfere with him at the worst time, during his hunt. Jaw tightening, keeping his meteorite steel sword and Sign casting hand risen respectively, he carefully made his way to the source, setting aside his hunt for the moment. Wind shifting his black cloak around him, damp moss on the forest floor softening his boot steps. Passing through the falling rain, swaying trees and bushes, drawing ever neat. Then, emerging through a particular bush, he saw the figure... an attractive, pointed eared woman with dark hair... and at last he slowly lowered his sword, though it and his casting hand remaining ready to take action, if she made it necessary. Eskel's deep, calm voice addressed her languidly, inclining his hooded head, mutilated visage smiling faintly at the stranger.
"Evening. Wasn't expecting to run into any elves out in these parts. Path is full of surprises. Got nothing to worry about from me. Name's Eskel, I'm a Witcher, here on business, hunting an insectoid monster called an Idr. And who might you be, miss...?"
