Exploring Laguna
113015 - My workmates and I decided to spend our holiday (Bonifacio Day) exploring and appreciating the beauty of nature.
We went to visit Dalitiwan Resort at Majayjay, Laguna. It was kinda far from the city and we didn’t have our own ride so it was a painful 3hrs of commuting from Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.
How to get there:
From Balibago Complex Sta Rosa, we rode a jeep going to Crossing Calamba. Fare: Php 21.00
From Crossing Calamba, we boarded a jeep going to Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Fare: Php 45.00
From Sta. Cruz Laguna to Majayjay, another jeepney ride to Majayjay but we were dropped at Luisiana and waited for a jeep going to Lucena. Fare: Php 25.00
And finally, from Luisiana, we were dropped at Dalitiwan Resort. Fare: Php 8.00
Fees:
Entrance fee: Php 80.00
Cottage: Php 500.00
We got there as early as 7:00AM. We were the first group to arrive (lucky we, we were able to take scenes without much people in the background). I personally suggest that if you don’t plan to stay overnight, it’s best to arrive early. The air is so fresh and raw. It was worth the long travel. When we went to emerge in the waters, gosh, it was so cool and fresh, it’s as if the water itself revitalized my mind and soul.
Also, the locals are very hospitable and welcoming. They attended us with our needs - grill, knife, cartons etc.. The place is also safe because there are barangay tanods roaming around.
