It’s every Tamagotchi fans nightmare, receiving the newest Tamagotchi in a box that is damaged. We’ve been hearing from a few fans lately who ordered their Tamagotchi On’s from Amazon that some of their boxes have arrived damaged. Damages including dents in the box, or even the plastic top arriving scratched or even broken in some cases.
So what’s going on here? Well it appears that Amazon has decided to ship the Tamagotchi On in an envelope as opposed to a box. A box would be a more appropriate choice here since the Tamagotchi On box is not strong enough to withstand the wear and tear of shipping.
There are also some other reports of Tamagotchi On’s boxes at Target that have orange stains on them, but this seems to be more of an isolated issued.
After posting a tweet gaging feedback from Tamagotchi fans on our Twitter account Bandai America reached out to several Tamagotchi On owners who’s devices came in a damaged box courtesy of Amazon. Bandai America has informed fans that they are aware of these incidences and are working closely with their retailers to resolve these issues. They also apologize and thank fans for their patience.
So it looks like this should be addressed soon as Bandai America reaches out to their retailers to address the condition these boxes are in one they reach consumers hands.
