For Aisling, I think it's the sort of lie she told Rhysand - "I am but a humble servant of the Court and it pleases me to serve you" - she says a variation of this to Eris, Keir, Thanatos, and Azriel. It's the sort of obvious lie that she has to tell to preserve her polite, courtly facade; it obviously conceals her true feelings (torturing them in her mind) but it would delight many of the male characters to hear it: look how easily I can force you to do this thing that you do not want to do, and you'll act glad to do it. Sometimes she just does whatever she was going to do anyway (ie, telling Azriel she would be a polite guest then immediately bullying and terrorising the citizens of Velaris) and is just telling them what they want to hear in the moment so they'll leave her alone. She'll do this a lot to Eris before he catches on.
Damien lies about everything. He has an untrustworthy reputation, even as a Vanserra, and Eris taught him to lean into it rather than fighting it. He'll lie about where he was last night. He'll lie about what the Autumn Court wants. He'll lie about what Beron's doing. He'll lie about how much he likes you. He'll tell two people slightly different versions of the same story. He'll lie to Eris, he'll lie to his paramours, he'll lie to his mother, and eventually, he'll lie to Nynyve as well. Part of this is impulsive - he has an instinct for destruction and chaos, revelling in it and being delighted by trickery - and part of it is that it gives him a screen of confusion and obfuscation to hide behind. If nobody knows where he is or what he wants (beyond to have a shag, at any given moment) then how can they predict him? How can he be trapped? Eris fostered this instinct in him - in a lot of ways, Eris is held to a higher standard, and even though he has a reputation of being a snake he can't be quite as blatant with it due to all of the inter-court relationships he's responsible for.
