I know nothing about Earthspark apart from what you’ve said here so take this with a grain of salt, but I wonder if Prowl is more of a sniper but keeps getting stuck in close combat situations. Because if he’s that horrible at fighting how did he not get himself killed earlier
That...is a good question hahah. The show implies that him and Optimus were fighting together often enough somewhere in the past. So I can safely assume his job wasn't just a desk job. He was out in the field. The show also implies that he has some kind of battle training. But what he trained to do?? We don't get to see.
I just went to rematch the episode to see how good he is at shooting but quickly discovered that everyone in season 3 are bad at shooting lmao. I think their storyboard artists got the task to "make them shoot but don't hurt anyone we don't have budget for draw any damage on those models."
Generally. I think I can headcanon Prowl as a sniper. Because nothing else really makes sense for his implied epic battle past somehow coexisting with his absolutely awful close combat skills haha
Either that or he got hit in the head and lost his motor skills.
