Maybe, unpopular opinion (?) everytime I see that "Dabi cares about the league" debate I'm just thinking that we shouldn't assume these things with the League as a whole, because... Who says he likes all of the members of the League? I don't personally believe that Dabi likes Toga or Spinner. And he tends to decide whether or not he likes someone in just a few minutes, he's pretty selective. I do think that he likes (liked?) Compress and Twice, because of the way he treats them compared to the other members. Now, just because you like someone doesn't mean that you care for them, at least not in the convencional way, and he also seems to care more about his goal... or just because you spend a lot of time with someone, it doesn't mean that you care about that person. Not in the convencional way, at least, and the fandom decide whether to translate his actions as selfishness or not... Hmm, I think that's what creates the topic. Maybe, saying that Dabi doesn't care for the LOV would be a lie depending of the perspective, but I also think that saying that he cares for them would be exaggerating. I just... don't personally think that he's currently capable of recognizing any of those feelings. Maybe that translates as not caring about them just like a friend would care about you (?). There was a time when I thought that he watched them as pawns, but now I believe that he mostly sees them more as coworkers that he needs to fulfill his goals (hence, why he cooperates with certain things, but what he wants is more important) rather than friends. I dunno. š¤ But not necessarily all of the members are "important" to him. Like, for what he wants to do? Ah...

It is true that weāre not really sure how Dabi feels about the members of the league as individuals. We know as an organization that heās more then willing to throw them under the bus for his own ideals however heās not been completely antagonistic towards the members when he could have been.
Really, weād need to see more into Dabiās head beyond this arc, or even after his burning need for revenge against his father fizzles out and heās finally able to focus on feelings beyond that. Because right now, I believe Dabi when he says he doesnāt care, or at least believe that he at the moment doesnāt realise he can care because heās too focused on his own goals.
He probably does value his coworkers in terms of usefulness and I think we can see that from his behaviour. Heās antagonistic towards Spinner, he mostly ignores Toga, he listens to Mr. Compress but doesnāt tend to acknowledge what he says, he went along with Twiceās whims from time to time and heās loyal towards Shigaraki for now. Itās actually really interesting because Dabi is thinking from the most logical point of view (who is useful for him) rather then with his feelings but I wonder how that will last now that his emotions are at the forefront of his character.
