sarek dripped tha fuck out when just going to captain kirk to ask him what is Up with him and spock
the alarms set off for what must be the third time that week, punching through the quiet air of the bank with all the subtlety of a four armed mechanical octopus. a tired sigh escaped your lips as you directed the terrified civilians towards the side of the atrium, shoulders tense with the feeling of someone behind you. watching.
stubbornly you kept directing the last few people, one of which a middle-aged couple whose hands had yet to separate. knuckles white as they held onto each other. clearly in love. probably had been for years. waking up together. falling asleep together.
you snatched your eyes away, scanning the room, and huffing a relieved breath upon seeing everyone was safe. you couldn’t afford to be absent minded during a fucking bank robbery where distraction meant death.
and speaking of, you turned to face him. towering over you, metal arms coiling slowly. his tanned skin already stretched in a grin that was beginning to become far too familiar.
“good afternoon my dear,” voice deep and all-encompassing, “how has your day been so far?” his head tilted in a gentle prompt. a frown drew your eyebrows together.
“it was quiet. peaceful. or at least-“
“boring then?” he cut you off, those little glasses tipping forward, lidded brown eyes watching as you pursed your lips. you were keenly aware of the group behind you, confused titters floating towards the villain and the security guard. right. you had a jo to do.
“not so doctor, i’d like to get back to the peace. so if you don’t mind could you leave? now?” preferably before robbing the bank again, you finished silently. a smirk from the man before you divulged that he knew exactly what you were thinking. you viciously fought down a blush as you raised an eyebrow, pointing to the exit.
“ahh now where’s the fun in that hmm?” face twisting in a mocking mirror of yours, “i have a much more interesting idea.” without hesitation an arm surged forward, a screech breaking from your throat as it snatched you up, the others working in tandem to carry the two of you towards the vault.
you gripped the arms, twisting and trying to escape, groaning as it tightened around your waist. the walkie-talkie crackled and broke, plastic digging into your skin through the uniform.
“manners manners pet,” he tutted, relaxing the tentacle holding you, “now let’s see.” one of the other arms was working at the hinge of the door, and turning to face you Dr Octavius smiled.
“isn’t that better dear? this has been such a lovely experience hasn’t it, and now i know the layout of the bank it is much much easier to get what i need.”
a questioning tilt preempted your words. “but the layout for a lot of new york banks are the same doctor, that doesn’t make much sense.” trying to not let derision colour your words you observe the large man flush and look back at the vault.
“i meant that the security system is familiar. and i know how to get through security.” at that he seemed to glance back at you. luckily he turned back as you became all too aware of how the mechanical arm was cradling you.
unfortunate that your mind couldn’t help but wander into less innocent waters. but from an objective standpoint he was very very attractive. curly brown hair and god he was tall even without the arms. traitorous eyes drifting down to watch his hands gesture.
you snapped back to reality as a loud creak echoed, the entry swinging open. the doctor grinned, eyes crinkling as he surveyed the lot. eyeing the man and hoping he stayed distracted, you began slowly wiggling, trying to get free. the arm loosed some more, and victory bloomed in your chest with every centimetre you slipped down.
a thwipping sound rang out, and both your heads turned as Spider-Man yanked the tentacle surrounding you. a shout of anger rang out as you dropped to the floor darted away, ducking behind the line of counters as the arm tried to follow you.
clashes and voices filled the foyer and you looked back, eyes meeting Octavius’. he winked, voice carrying over the din.
“until next time my dear!” you tore yourself away and lunged for the exit, heart racing and cheeks bright. as police moved in you couldn’t think properly. in a daze as your coworker rushed up to you.
you dissuaded their worries, and as you were checked over my paramedics you couldn’t help but think one thing.
thank fuck it’s sunday tomorrow.
so turns out i saw the tv glow is a much more heartwrenching watch when you’re already trans AND you’ve finally come to terms with the fact that you have to get out of your family home
Not to be like "she rides English so I assumed she believed in COVID" but uh. I was wrong
Okay, but what if I want to kiss you?
@hetalia-alfred-jones
Kiss? But Alfred, we have not even held hands yet! I do not know the order of things. Are there not things that have to happen first?
so maybe i went a little insane. hi paperboy.
first off: what? literally what are you talking about in the tags. are you confusing me with someone else?
secondly: i'm trying to have a legitimate conversation about this - the actual context of the thread at the time it was posted like a year ago was that people were insisting there was no politics at all in chainsaw man - and i'm very annoyed that my hyperbolic statement of "fujimoto probably didn't like the nukes" is considered this weird sort of hair-splitting wedge when that's really not at all the thing that was to be focused on - and then you said "you're either stupid or a fascist and i know you're not a fascist" so really i would say that you are the one that started arguing with Fun Twitter Dunks, wheras when I pointed out that you haven't actually read the comic being discussed your next move was to immediately confirm that you haven't, and then get even more aggressive. so if you want to have a calm, cool discussion you're really doing a bad job at signifying that.
i'll gladly talk about fujimoto's ~wonderful~ political acumen every day of the week but you and the other person that you hopped onto the chain on really just seemed like you were both extremely hopped up on One Hyperbolic Thing I Said and then when i pointed out "fujimoto doesn't like the japanese government either" you peaced out and blocked me. which i'm not sure what to make of that except that you decided that "counterarguments from the text itself" are the point where you give up, in which case... sure! ok. i'll be here any time you want to have an actual discussion about the text but the reason i said it was splitting hairs is because it really seemed to me like you two were splitting hairs about me trying to infer "maybe a japanese artist thought the nukes were bad".
