▕♟ SWIMMING WITH THE FISHES.
▷ – ⌠ ...Have we met? ⌡
☆ A surprisingly calm execution of words, something uncharacteristic of Dellinger since the day he was born. Most sentences were frazzled; communication was his forte, but his ramblings were more common than not-- he wasn’t sort to keep to one topic each time. Frequently, this lead to confusions, but those things didn’t seem to matter. He simply wanted his words to be fresh in the minds of everyone-- the center of conversation.
☆ Today was a rare day that the marines allowed him to head into town unsupervised-- a lie, of course; they were simply tagging far behind him. It wasn’t hard for him to tell they were there. Did strong marines really exist? Dellinger doubted that with every fiber of his being. So far, a lot of them seemed to fall the moment he so much as flashed his teeth. Pathetic was what he’d call them.
☆ Now, the person that he confronted was familiar. This was more important than buying a few things here and there in shops with the allowance given to him. It was enough to buy trinkets-- clothes if he was lucky to find ‘em cute and cheap. Whoever he was, this wasn’t a good feeling he had. He was a bit nervous, ready for a fight or flight if need-be.

Coffee and Sake
@damnmarimo {From here}
At his ‘I’m not lost’, Tashigi gave him a flat look that said ‘okay, sure.’ It was one of the rare occasions that she was actually drinking herself, not much, but dammit she had been working hard all week. That’s not to say she wasn’t also drinking coffee. Alcohol and coffee mixed quite well together, actually. Though that was already a well known fact. She took the drink to her lips as she listened to the swordsman speak. It had become well known in the Marines, especially for those who witnessed it at Alabasta, just how poor this man’s sense of direction was. It would be comical if it weren’t so sad.
“There’s a Marine base on this island,” she sighed. It was small, and out of the way, but it definitely was there, “And try nothing,” she gave him a side-glance, “I could arrest you at any point. But you can’t seem to fight me.”
