happy endgame anniversary my babies! <3
people really sit here and act like the vampire diaries was not revolutionary for supernatural/vampire themes and storylines to be more than straight up horror or really bad plots with even worse CGI. even twilight was seen as a sappy and a bad representation of vampires in movies/media. queen of the damned had been the only semi recent vampire movie that was actually amazing. before that it was black and white nosferatu and other medias like that. tvd paved the way and i won't let any of you say otherwise. between the story, the romance, the characters, the supernatural entities themselves it was all setting a standard in not only supernatural media but teen romance. the tvd books that were made in the literal 90s alone opened peoples minds to that idea. no, tvd didn't create vampires or a love triangle but it did damn near the best to this day. please miss me fr.
im a simple creature. i see a damon and elena post, i like. will never be getting over them.
no bad views on the summer i turned pretty fr but i need you all to stop comparing that triangle to tvd. it's not the same. even stefan and elena were way more than both couples on tsitp let alone damon and elena. DE had a real love story and they both went through hell and back in so many ways to be together and be happy. the shows and love stories are just not comparable I'm sorry. just because there is a love triangle and two brothers are involved does not mean it's anywhere near the same.
absolutely love that DE as a fictional couple is seen as a powerful love symbol for plenty that have never even seen the show or know who they are... like that's pure romance and influence right there
rewatching tvd is self care.
