Adam Mockler points out how Pete Hegseth is being sidelined from any serious policy activity and discussions by the Trump administration.

He is being kept around primarily as a MAGA ornament to be dangled in front of the red-capped masses when they need to be politically agitated for The Orange One.

The surrogate Secretary of Defense now seems to be Army Secretary Dan Driscoll. Fortunately, Driscoll is one of the few comparatively sane members of this administration.
