I thought lightspeed was a peak season but I’m three episodes into a rewatch and Captain Mitchell is just the absolute WORST and it’s such bullshit. Why are they doing shit paramedics can do instead of, I don’t know, fighting the giant monster destroying the city??? If all of a sudden there are civilians in danger, that just means that was the case throughout the previous EIGHT seasons that were just disregarded. The whole social contract of the show was that we would suspend our disbelief that the buildings were empty in order to get a cool giant robot fight. This just spits in the face of that.
