Eva Thomas: A Life Twice Stolen

Continuing from my theory post about Kat and Eva.

So if Leslie isn't Eva's mother, who is?

I have an answer for that, and it's good and soapy too. Eva knows her real mother. She admires her. She respects her. She doesn't understand why she keeps protecting her biological mother.

Eva's biological mother is, drumroll please...

Nicole!

Nicole and Eva already have a strange bond. I wouldn't say that Nicole is discounting Kat's feelings, or trusting Eva over Kat. I think that for some reason she just can't explain, Nicole trusts Eva. To let an assistant you barely know be in charge of planning two major events requires said trust. And Nicole doesn't even bat an eyelid. Further to this point, Nicole was also right to trust Eva. She got her own 'mother' thrown out of a party to protect Nicole's happiness! You know who else we see doing something to protect their Nicole's happiness? Kat. Oh, the parallels!

Ted is much the same way with Eva. Difference is, we've already established that Ted is indeed Eva's biological father (well according to stiff wig Leslie, who really is not to be trusted). So why does Nicole's behavior mirror Ted's so well? Because she feels the same parental affection for Eva that Ted does.

What really tipped me off to the possibility of Eva being Nicole's daughter, is how Eva and Kat interact. They remind of my favorite soap opera twins. See the resemblance in attitudes?

For those who don't know, the red head and blonde in the top two photos are Natalie and Jessica Buchanan. Twins separated at birth on the former (forever in our hearts) ABC soap, One Life to Live. I believe that's what happened to Kat and Eva. And the person who I believe separated them, is Leslie. In my heart of hearts, I believe this storyline was Inspired by Natalie and Jessica.

Another little tiny thing. Kat and Eva have the same number of letters. So does Jessica and Natalie. Food for thought.

Lastly, supporting anecdotal evidence. In a discussion with Andre for Nicole and Ted's video for their anniversary party, Nicole mentioned that they had difficulty conceiving Kat. The couple had to seek the assistance of IVF treatments. I know the wheels are turning in your mind right now, I can practically see it!

What typically results from a pregnancy caused by IVF treatments? Multiples. As in, multiple babies. As we watch Ted and Nicole's upcoming anniversary celebration drama play out, I want you all to keep this in the back of your minds. I will be watching closely, as I imagine you guys will as well. Let me know if you see anything that supports or disproves my theory!

I get the feeling we're about to get some answers! Ted and Nicole's anniversary party will be featured in the May 1st episode, so make sure to tune in!

I pulled Dana’s book off the shelf after I read John Waters say “...nouveau riche and a bragger. You know how he decorated the White House? It looks like Jeff Koons did it without art history knowledge or intelligence.”

When the Pope of Trash criticizes our President’s taste, it’s time for a refresher.

Dana looks up from her painting. “Don’t you think it’s time for you to take a shower?

“Yes that you have sod in your entire face from a class that ended 6 hours ago.”

“Hmm,” it comes from behind the canvas.

“No.”
