Dance has the ability to bring people together to share their unique cultures. 

Sports Envoy and Principal Ballerina, Misty Copeland is in Cuba this week. She’s pictured above dancing with the Carlos Acosta group. She also had a chance to meet Cuban prima ballerina and choreographer, Alicia Alonso.

“We are excited to announce a special round of Curatorial Research Travel grants for 2016 through the French-U.S. Exchange in Dance, known as FUSED – a partnership between NEFA’s National Dance Project, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States, and FACE Foundation. This fall, FUSED will support curatorial research trips to the U.S., France, and Burkina Faso totaling $33,872 in funds to be distributed to 17 dance curators from the U.S. and France. The funds will support travel and attendance at festivals and performances in the three countries, promoting future artistic exchanges and collaborations.”
