SYTYCD Season 10 Favorites

This has been the best season of So You Think You Can Dance yet!  And my two favorite couples are in the top four!  I am so excited I could burst.  Before the finale tonight, I wanted to share some of my favorites from the season:

Contemporary: "Hangin' By A Thread"

Choreographed by Travis Wall.  Danced by Jenna Johnson and Tucker Knox.

The contemporary numbers were so amazing this year, but this one particularly stuck in my mind.  I loved that Jenna was able to release herself at the end - simply beautiful. 

Standard Ballroom:  "Este Es El Rey"

Argentine Tango choreographed by Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo.  Danced by Hayley Erbert and Leonardo Barrionuevo.

Oh boy - Leonardo is a professional.  This was fierce!

Latin Ballroom:  "Great Balls of Fire"

Jive choreographed by Chelsie Hightower.  Danced by Chelsie Hightower and Aaron Turner.

This jive was so fun, fast and energetic!

American Social:  "I Will Always Love You"

Disco choreographed by Doriana Sanchez.  Danced by Amy Yakima and Brandon Bryant.

Doriana is the queen of disco, and this number was amazing!

Hip Hop:  "Get Ur Freak On"

Choreographed by Tabitha and Napoleaon D'umo.  Danced by Nico Greetham and Comfort Fedoke.

This was everything!  Cool characters, great music, and great choreography.  Comfort's exit is the best thing I've seen...like ever. 

Animating:  "Trigger"

Coreographed by Christopher Scott.  Danced by Dorian 'BluPrint' Hector and Jade Zuberi.

So cool!  The arm-in-the-hat bit will stick in my mind forever. 

Broadway:  "Kiss of the Spiderwoman"

Coreographed by Sean Cheesman.  Danced by Hayley Erbert and Nico Greetham.

Wow.  So unique and amazing. 

Tap:  "You Really Did It"

Choreographed by Anthony Morigerato.  Danced by Curtis Holland, Alexis Juliano and Aaron Turner.

All of the tappers in their element!

Jazz:  "I Am the Best"

Coreographed by Mark Kanemura. Danced by Jenna Johnson and Mark Kanemura.

Mark is a genius. This is the most unique and innovative routine of the season.

(More) Jazz:  "Under the Bridge"

Choreographed by Tyce DiOrio.  Danced by Amy Yakima and  Du-Shaunt 'Fik-Shun' Stegall.

My favorite of Tyce DiOrio's work so far!  This was perfectly quirky and perfect for Amy and Fik-shun.

(Even More) Jazz:  "Feelin' Good"

Choreographed by Mandy Moore.  Danced by Du-Shaunt 'Fik-shun' Stegall and Melanie Moore.

I would give anything to be able to dance like Melanie Moore.  Simply breathtaking. 

Bollywood:  "Munni Badnaam Hui Darling"

Choreographed by Nakul Dev Mahajan.  Danced by Amy Yakima and Alex Wong.

This might be my favorite Bollywood to date!  So wonderful!

African Jazz:  "Hlohonolofatsa"

Choreographed by Sean Cheesman.  Danced by Amy Yakima, Du-shaunt 'Fik-shun' Stegall, Jasmine Harper, Paul Karmiryan, Hayley Erbert, and Aaron Turner. 

This just left me feeling so joyous and peaceful.

Group Dance:  "Move to the Ocean"

Choreographed by Mia Michaels.  Danced by Aaron Turner, Du-shaunt 'Fik-shun' Stegall, Tucker Knox, Jenna Johnson, Paul Karmiryan, Hayley Erbert, Jasmine Harper and Amy Yakima.

This is the circus I want to go to. 

Group Dance:  "Sand"

Choreographed by Christopher Scott.  Danced by Aaron Turner, Du-Shaunt 'Fik-Shun' Stegall, Paul Karmiryan, Tucker Knox, Nico Greetham, Alan Bersten, Curtis Holland, Dorian 'BluPrint' Hector, Jade Zuberi and Carlos Garland.

The use of sand as a prop was really cool. 

Group Dance:  "Young and Beautiful"

Choreographed by Stacey Tookey.  Danced by Jenna Johnson, Hayley Erbert, Malece Miller, Amy Yakima, Jasmine Harper and Makenzie Dustman. 

Best 6 girls ever!  They are all so strong and elegant.  They gave me goose bumps.

FINALE TONIGHT!!! WOOHOO!!!
