#DailyGratitude BLOCK PARTY. Imagine this— you walk towards a normal looking street in middle of a Brooklyn neighborhood. Residents sitting in their stoop, waving hello, while cars are normally passing by. Then suddenly, a🚨sounds, a 🔔 starts ringing, 🔊 start pumping out music, the street is blocked off by orange cones, and BOOM...a BLOCK PARTY EMERGES. Seems like a scene from a movie correct? True— but this movie scene happened in real life for around five months, thanks to the amazing humans of @stjamesjoy2020 ❤️ . Today I’m grateful to have celebrated my birthday along with various weekends at this little corner of NYC. The amount of love and happiness evident in the smiles of the hundreds that have gathered (masked up and appropriately distanced, of course) to express themselves freely and dance was truly amazing. These are memories I will never forget, especially since I got to share with some pretty amazing life angels— the #dancebiscuits 🍪 along with other epic humans that have taken the leap to experience the magic as well.
