I'm so proud of myself for the leadership I've demonstrated once our dance NGO received Special Consultative Status at the @unitednations . 🌍 As an executive of H+ for over a decade, the core value I have stuck by is recognizing that every communication exchange is an opportunity to teach someone about what I represent, Hip-Hop (the culture), Hip-Hop Dance, being a guest in it, etc. When you meet with potential sponsors, clients, partners, donors, whomever, don't just focus on sealing the deal at whatever cost. Ensure they understand that engaging with a culture requires an active approach and certain knowledge base to build a long-term, relationship. Do right by your art form.
