SATURDAY WORKOUT of kickboxing was thwarted by and unexpected Zumba class... good thing I love to dance! During class I felt my right knee start to hurt, reminding me that (1) I need more stretching in my routine and (2) the importance of proper shoe wear with workouts you decide to do. Zumba requires dance style shoes, or at least ones that are more flat with less grip on the bottom, but provide enough traction not to fall... I was dressed for something else. Take these signs/symptoms as a means to identify these weaknesses with your routine to prevent actual injury and joint over-use. Getting older isnt for the weak!
