Sorry for not being active 😔

On friday -> saturday morning my school had dancing ball. It was so amazing all the performances, food that we made, drinks and people! ❤️ I’m so tired right now. And tomorrow I will take a criminal law exam & biology exam.. yay so happy about that..

Dancing ball

Short fanfic based on episode 125, an original filler named "The Magic Ball". The story is different, but general idea comes from this.

She simply couldn't pick one.

All of her outfits looked good on her, but none of them could be worn at such a fancy party. She needed to be dressed properly for the occasion, so she called out her friend, expert in fashion.

"I open thee, gate of the Giant Crab! Cancer!" 

"Ebii- what can I do for you, Princess? Ebii."

"Cancer, I desperatly need your help! There is this really important ball in a few days, and I don't know what to wear, or how to style my hair, I'm just looking for heels that match and.." Lucy went on and on, she didn't even pause to catch her breath.

"Hm, I see, Ebi. I'll do my best, Princess!"

Lucy was so thankfull to have Cancer as her friend, he was maybe not human but he did know a lot about fashion. In a few minutes, she was all ready, her make-up done perfectly and her hair styled magically. This was Cancer's first try, but immediately Lucy knew this was the perfect combo. She thanked him and closed the door. Finally, she was ready! She took notes of how her outfit was arranged and took everything away at once. The whole day at been spent on buying new clothes, trying different lipsticks, reading tutorials for her hair. Yet, Cancer had done his job in less than 10minutes. Lucy had wanted to do it herself, but sometimes, she admitted, Cancer's help was precious. Also, he did not mind being called for such a trifle. 

Now, the hardest part was coming: she had to invite someone to that ball. A few days earlier, Erza and other girls from Magnolia had been invited by some Lord at an annual "Dancing Ball". Apparently, only the prettiest women in Fiore were invited. Fairy Tail's reputation had clearly to do with that, but Lucy had never felt so honoured. 

And now she had to choose a partner. Of course, she had plenty of choices because every guy in Magnolia wanted to be part of the ball. But she was the one invited, so she was the one to choose. And of course, she wanted Natsu. Asking the Dragon Slayer out was the hardest thing Lucy had ever done. She had never had a boyfriend, never went on a date with anyone. So the day before the ball, she had planned everything. 

"Hey Natsu, hm. Can I talk to you about something?" She asked innocently. She was convinced that he knew about the ball. Pretty much the whole town, no the whole country knew about the ball. Yet.. 

"Hey, sure Luce! What is it?" He responded cheerfully.

"Well, there is this thing. Uh, I mean.. So, and you and I.. To go, you know.." For the first time, Lucy was so nervous she was stuttering.

"What? Oh sorry, I've got to go, we'll talk about that later uh?" And like that he left. 

Geez, that's gonna be harder than I thought. Stupid flamme head can't stay put for more than five seconds. Next time, I'll ask right up. Lucy thought.

On that very night, Lucy was still repeating the words in her head when Natsu burst into the guild hall. He was making such a mess, that Lucy went to see why he was yelling so loudly.

"Oooh, guys you'll never belive this! I've been asked! I'm going! Ooh, this is gonna be so fun!! I hope they have plenty of food, I'm already starving!" 

"Hm, Natsu what are you talking about?" Asked Lucy.

"Oh hey Luce. Well, I don't know if you've heard, but there is this ball thing and oh whatever, I'm going! I heard the food was excellent! I cannot wait!" 

Lucy was lost; Natsu.. asked out? WHO? He looked so happy, she did not want to ruin his moment. But she was dying to know who had asked Natsu to go. She couldn't believe that a girl would approach him and ask him to dance with her. She and Natsu were really close, and he had never spoken about any girl! This was all too much for her, and silently she left the guild, leaving behind a way too happy Natsu for her taste. Now she was left with no partner, and quite frankly no more desire to go to that stupid ball. But she wanted to know who the mysterious girl was, so she asked Loke to go with her (that made him go crazy, but she had no choice).

On the day of the ball, Lucy wore a delicate white dress with fine lace. It looked like a princess dress. Of course, at Loke's arm they made the most beautiful entrance. The whole palace stopped to stare at them. But Lucy was more focused on finding Natsu. It took about 0.2 seconds to spot him at the buffet. 

"Lucy, will you dance with me?" Asked Loke so gallantly.

She could not refuse, after all he had accepted to come with her. So the two of them danced a big part of the night on different style of music. From classic, to rock'n roll. The party was a success, and everybody was having a wonderful time. But Lucy kept looking for Natsu, eyeing the crowd for a scaled scarf. When she located him, he was enjoying a giant plate of the finest food of the buffet, but on his own. No girl was to be seen anywhere near him. Suddenly she could not wait anymore, she wanted to know.

"Natsu!" She called.

"Oy, Luce! I didn't know you were coming to the ball! Oh, hold on, you've got to taste this food it's.. wow I've got no words, just eat it." And he stuffed a spoonfull of some brown stew in her mouth.

She was mad at first, but then the flavours filled her and she forgot why she had even talked to him in the first place. He pourred some liqueur for her and they enjoyed a taste of the best wine ever. But she came back to her senses.

"Oh wait, I needed to talk to you!"

"Right, I left you at the guild, sorry about that. My super dragon slayer abilities had sensed that Happy was cooking the best fish pie ever, so I had to hurry."

"Yes, whatever. I wanted to tell y-" but the words got stuck in her throat. 

"Hm?"

She blushed real hard, but got the courage to ask: "I wanted to tell you to come with me! But then you got asked by some girl or I don't know and so I coundn't ask you out, but I don't see any girl around you, so I just had to know who invited you!" 

There was a heavy silence for what seemed like an eternity.

"Well.. See by yourself." And he pointed towards the dancefloor.

Lucy turned and tried to look for some girl she might know, or some girl dancing by herself, but all she saw was a group of women enjoying themselves loudly, and forming a circle aroung someone. 

"Is that..?" She squinted her eyes. 

No.. this couldn't be.. She had really been stupid. The ball invitations were not only for the prettiest women in Fiore, but also for the men. And right before her eyes, someone was dancing energetically.. half naked.

So you guessed I was talking about Gray right, he invited Natsu because he did not want to ask Juvia and see her make a scene because all the ladies would want to dance with him. Clever Gray eheh.
