As the music picks up, it is time for the dancing to begin...
A Royal Masquerade - The Prince Dances (Part 1 of 2)
When the first chord is struck, Valarr can practically feel the dozens of masked eyes, watching his every move.
Taking a deep breath, the prince strides across the room to the very first lady that catches his eye, Lady Light. With confidence, she takes his hand in hers - accepting his invitation without words.
And the first dance of the night ensues.
Valarr takes to the dance floor for the first time tonight with Lady Light (by @houseofsimsgaryen). Her escorts are unable to contain their excitement.
After his dance with such a gentle partner, Valarr spends the next half hour on the ballroom floor - changing hands from one lady to the next. Surely tonight, he is glad of the lessons his station forced him to take.
he spends his second dance with The Enchantress (by @invisiblequeen), and third with The Sea Maiden (by @honeysylvan) - during these early dances, the chemistry is off the charts!
fourth dance of the night, with The Winter Star (by @simsandnobles) goes smoothly - but the prince feels none of the sparks that he did with the first three contenders. His following dance, with Lady le Faye (by @kyrassimhoard) goes similarly.
as he partners with the Lady Lunara (by @queensoflumis), and then later Lady Muse (by @starlightpixels), he finds himself taking lead from women more graceful than he ever could have imagined.
it comes as a shock to all, that before the 8th dance, Valarr's selected partner Lady Wildflower is swiftly stolen from his grasp - by none other than Lord Aelor!
Rather than dancing the waltz with the Prince as originally intended, Lady Wildflower (by @wavvie) reluctantly accepts the hand of his silver haired friend, who seems to already be enamored by the maiden.
with several more songs to go, and a maiden stolen from his grasp Valarr takes a short break from dancing...
