5 have sunken into The Sea of Misery

Mizuko was always able to tell what time of day it was by the color of the sea. If the sun shone brightly then the entire seabed would light up with it’s radiant light. If it was night time, the waters would be dimmed to a dull black. Today was a considerly bright day, the sun rays filtering through the clear water. Unfortunately for her, it was also the perfect day for scuba divers or casual swimmers to discover what wonders lay beneath the sea.

Just as that thought occurred to her, she looked up to the face of the water to see a dark figure, then a splash that interrupted the water’s calmness. She panicked a little since she was quite close to the splurge of water. Quickly, she kicked her small legs to the nearest rock where Mizuko silently slid beside the large rock. She would have been completely hidden if her teal colored pigtails were not floating up above her head. They could almost be mistaken for a new type of strange seaweed.
