A cold night, like always. Meiko didn’t particularly mind, though. Worn coat flapping behind her, she walked through the city.

She needed a drink. She wasn’t sure what kind, but something had to take her mind off of things.

A noise behind her. She spun around. 

  "Who’s there?"

☾| "S.. Sorry.." His hands in the air, he lifts his foot, away from the offending can that he'd accidentally knocked over, "I didn't mean to scare you, uh.." Well, this was awkward.

He was on his way back to the house, where he was sure Kuro was waiting for him, impatient as always. He'd just been out to pick up some of those snacks she liked, as evidenced by the convenience store bag in his hold.

How strange, though. He wouldn't have expected anyone out and about at this time of night.. was she okay? 

He coughed, deciding to make his concern known. He wouldn't be able to sleep tonight if he didn't at least check, he knew it.
