Therion woke up to a loud bang, it must have been around four in the morning. The bang sounded like there was a thunderstorm outside the inn, but the skies were clear. He saw a flash of what he realised was lightning magic, a loud sigh left him; as he figured out exactly who the culprit was.
Therion made his way out of the inn, his bad leg was still causing him pain; but the memories of the journey to find the Dragonstones and of the people he had met had almost returned. And thus he knew that the scholar was trying to cast magic, and that he was often reckless. Considering Cyrus had vision loss in one eye, he didn’t think it was going to end well.
Therion managed to find Cyrus before he folded his arms, looking disapproving. “Hey, Albright. What do you think you’re doing outside at four in the morning? Casting magic no less.” He sighed, before he shook his head. “You could have at least woken me up so I could make sure you didn’t end up hurting yourself.”
The thief pulled a chair over, taking his seat next to Alfyn. The trip there had been freezing cold, and he himself was still quite cold. He shivered, wrapping his poncho and scarf tighter around himself to keep himself warm.
{THERION} ---- “Why’s it gotta be so damn cold...”
“Do all apothecaries fight various beasts for their body parts, or am I simply fortunate enough to be traveling with the single most entertaining apothecary in Orsterra?”
H’aanit wasn’t talkative. Not in general, at least. She could carry a conversation, but she was equally content with companionable silence. She supposed this was part of why Therion enjoyed sitting with her a bit more than with the other men at the bar sometimes.
He was gradually growing more open and sociable, but of course it would take time for him to be truly comfortable around the more talkative members of their motley crew. H’aanit understood completely. Everyone was already very dear to her, but being surrounded constantly by other people took getting used to after the quiet northern woodlands.
She nodded as Therion sighed and pulled out a chair next to her at the corner table. She was working on finishing a carved wooden bracelet, etching in simple engravings. It wouldn’t be much good for anything but wearing, but the hobby kept her busy.
“Good evening to thee, Therion.” She offered, “Your face is tired. Exhausted of the festive men over there, I’d wager?”
The thief slowly lowered himself to the ground, still holding onto Alfyn so he didn’t completely collapse. He did let go once he was sitting down, letting out a sigh. Why did these things always happen to him?
cy (if you want to use mine you can) and theri dancingxblades
This got long so I’m putting it under read more @dancingxblades
who is more likely to get injured doing small tasks
I would say that it is almost definitely Therion in this case, he gets injured pretty easily; and he would honestly rather it be him than Cyrus. He doesn’t like to see Cyrus hurt or sick.
who worries more about the other
They both equally worry about each other, I would say it’s definitely both.
who is more afraid about the other leaving them
Therion without a shadow of a doubt, he definitely has some insecurities at first about Cyrus being too good for somebody like him. His history with relationships has not been great to say the least, and he doesn’t understand how Cyrus could love somebody like him.
who is more likely to leave (for any reason)
Again it’s probably Therion, and the main reason would be to protect Cyrus. Especially if they start dating between Therion’s chapter 3 and 4, once Therion sees Darius again. Because he knows that Darius could easily hurt Cyrus in order to get to Therion.
who is more likely to drunkenly confess
Therion probably, I don’t think Cyrus is even aware of his own feelings; and Therion very much is.
who is more likely to push the other away (for any reason)
Therion, do I need to say more lol. Although Cyrus has his moments.
who picks fights more often
I can’t answer all of these with Therion, but it is him.
who usually apologizes first
Cyrus 100%, not that Therion can even stay mad at him for very long.
who is more likely to withhold their feelings for the other
They’re both pretty guilty of this, Cyrus usually brushes it off as “oh I just see Therion as a really good friend.” Because he is very closeted, and has never really fallen in love with anybody.
who is more likely to lash out at the other
Therion, but he always apologises straight away. It’s never because Cyrus did anything wrong, it’s usually because he’s stressed. But he realises straight away that it’s not fair to snap at Cyrus.
who gets more jealous
They both have their moments, but it’s usually over really minor things. At most, Cyrus gets a little jealous when Therion is giving love to his cat and not cuddling him.
who is more likely to support the other in a relationship with someone else “as long as they’re happy”
God I think they both would do this, Therion probably would more so.
push : my muse pushing your muse out of the way of danger.
Primrose always hated caves, they were dark, often smelled like stale water, and were filled with dangerous creatures. She wasn’t afraid per se, but she was a bit jumpy when it came to their subterranean adventures. Hand gripping her dagger as eyes darted to every drip and echo.
She could hear the gravel path’s change of tone and her ears perked to the sound. It sounded wetter, and a bit unstable over the eroded bridge they traveled over. A few more steps and only Alfyn and her were still on the bridge, her over sensitive senses felt the ground below their feet start a quake. “Run!” she cried out, a hard push directed on Alfyn’s back between his shoulder blades to urge him forward as the bridge way started to collapse.
