Y’all I just realized that in the Mortis arc-
We’ve got the father, the daughter, and the son with no mother.
In the og trilogy-
We’ve got the father, the daughter, and the son with no mother.
If Anakin had stayed and brought Padmé with him, I’m convinced the cycle would just repeat. One child would fall, one would remain loyal to the light, and Anakin would remain to balance it. But it doesn’t happen like that. Instead, the father falls and the two children have to balance it. Until one falls out of favor with the light and one dies and the force has to try and balance itself again.
But, y’know what else we get in the Mortis arc?
The Jedi, the chosen one, and the padawan.
Obi-Wan takes the role of the father to balance out Ahsoka and Anakin who fill the roles of the daughter and the son respectively as their journeys progress.
Anyways, the force is perpetually being balanced and unbalanced and in the tumultuous shifting of its will, it is balanced.
