movie!geeta’s relationship with food should be studied under a microscope okay.
she’s been learning to cook since as early as she could, because it’s expected of girls, and then out of nowhere when she’s maybe 12-14ish her dad says no you don’t have to anymore. her dad tells her & babita about him training them for wrestling while they’re eating a plate of golgappas (also known as panipuris elsewhere), their favorite food, and also that they’ll have to stick to a strict wrestlers diet - meaning they can’t eat pretty much all of the food they love. she and babita have to start eating chicken too (they were vegetarian before) after omkar beats them one too many times in their practice ring. geeta is told she’s a little underweight while being weighed for…i want to say sub-junior nationals, or something like that? her dad says well can she still play and the weighing guy says yes, but - and her dad is like okay, then she’ll play. she beats everyone in her category. the next year she’s still a little underweight but the guy (same one) is like but haha, what does it matter! when geeta goes to patiala for international training and eats a golgappa for the first time in at LEAST five years there is suchhh an expression of bliss on her face and she rocks back on her heels. when her coach (i hate him.) tells her she has to lose four entire kilos so she can play & win in the 51 kilo category instead of the 55 kilo one, he makes her be on a diet that she doesn’t want; her dad says wtf is this & provides her extra food on the side. she does end up wrestling in the 55 kilo category.
LIKE. GESTURES VAGUELY. LOOK AT THIS!!!!
DANGAL DANGAL‼️‼️
I'm watching « dangal » and 10/10 would recommend especially to people whose fathers stopped treating them like humans around puberty
I'm watching « dangal » and I do not in any way shape or form have the constitution for competitive sports but if I did you would never catch me saying anything like thanks for the win before the medal was round my neck. Imagine losing after saying such
I'm watching « dangal » and Nigeria mentioned 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 I'm only patriotic when the stakes are so low as to be non existent 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
National sports committee people: ok, we'll give Geeta and Babita a second chance but Sir you're banned from the premises
Phone credit seller: idk why but I just got an auspicious feeling
