jsyk the rising sun flag is a symbol of Japanese imperialism and is akin to a Nazi flag, so including it in drawings of Frank isn’t great (and it’s the reason he let that tattoo of it fade / covered it up)

hi! that frank piece you posted a couple hours ago is really awesome, i love ur art style!!! wanted to let you know though that the background having the sun burst/rising sun on it is a symbol of imperialist japan and is regarded as a sort of hate symbol now. frank got it removed/tattooed over for that reason, just wanted to let u know in case that hadnt come up!!

OH SHOOT, im so sorry I'm not rly educated on all of this stuff 💔 I'm sorry if it offended anyone or made anyone uncomftrable, I just want to sya that it wasent my intention at all to make anything offensive, and it's a stupid mistake, I will try to research abt this topic more and set time aside to maybe make a new background for the piece.
