Yeah, I wish my school could do Westside story, but there are literally no latinx in the theatre department except for me, so there goes that idea. But I definitely wouldn't want them to do what they did in the movie, the fake tan was horrible.

awww that sucks. tbh it's much better to not put on a show than to try and compensate for the lack of diversity in the available casting options. last year my school put on Shrek the Musical and finding the right actor for Donkey was tough considering there was literally only one black male in the entire fine arts department, and I don't think he even tried out. obviously they couldn't cast a white boy, so Donkey ended up being played by a guy who I believe was South Asian. still, he did a "black" accent and now I'm starting to think that it might have been a bit wrong? but it's too late now, obviously

How do you get that glowy effect in your art bc I love it

I use Gimp so I dont know if other programs have this (though I’m prettyyy sure Photoshop does), but what I do is mulitply the lineart layer then go to Blur>Gaussian Blur

And when you click on it a little menu will pop up, the higher the number the blurrier/glowier it’ll be (I always go up to 9.0)

Then click OK and wapow

And you can adjust the opacity if it’s too glowy, I normally take it down to 50/60.
