So I have some good news! I will possibly either be renting a laptop or borrowing one until o can buy my new Mac! So yay! If so, I’ll definitely have some stories coming up for y’all! ♥️

Also, I FINALLY finished Game of Thrones and I’m completely caught up and excited for season 8! (I know, I got into it so late, lmao)

Whenever I look at EM/MV fanart, it’s so cute it hurts, but I only have one question: why is his hair colored blonde? I know his hair is weird because it’s sometimes reddish, then light brown, then regular brown depending on the light... but I find it interesting that he’s sometimes portrayed as blonde.

was daeron justified in burning thousands of innocents because his nephew didn't pass the vibe check?

i don't remember making a post about daeron, so are you just randomly sending me this ask? why are you expecting me to "justify" what daeron did when i wasn't even addressing it in the first place?

daeron did what he did because his 2yo nephew has been literally torn to pieces. i don't think it's any more "justified" then b&c, the sacking of lannisport and the enslavement and kidnapping of innocent women, aemond burning the riverlands, rhaenyra placing a bounty over maelor and jaehaera and etc. etc.

no one - from both sides - is "justified" to commit war crimes that result in innocent people being killed. that includes your faves and mine's. you can understand why this character acted the way they did without "justifying" their fictional war crimes.

i really don't hate rhaenyra as a character though.

i think the show!version of her is literally the definition of y\n Targaryen with as many dany references as possible to cover up the fact that she has no personality traits of her own, the only times she's entertaining is when the plot needs her to act book accurate (driftmark, dragonseeds ep) but it feels very forced and out of character. so yeah my main criticism is that she's very poorly written

book rhaenyra's an interesting character. but i think people really need to accept the fact that yes, she was wronged. alicent and otto are the villains in her story, but she's the villain in nettles story, she's the villain in helaena's story. she has done horrible stuff, and the fact that people were horrible to her & horrible stuff happened to her doesn't cancel out all of her wrongdoings.

Maelor was removed from the show because the writers didn't know what do with him without tarnishing Rhaenyra's character.

Every murder had nothing to do with her, from Daemon acting on his own accord when executing Vaemond to the most insincere "how could you 🥺??? reaction to Jaehaerys' beheading. Rhaenyra had nothing to do with either killing despite being the biggest beneficiary from both deaths. She is also the biggest beneficiary of Maelor being absent.

So Maelor was removed for 3 reasons:

Rhaenyra remains unscathed with the blemish of being a baby killer, they can continue their narrative of the girlboss queen who is the most feminist feminist to ever feminist.

All remaining males in Team Green are now evil men, Alicent is therefore 100% justified in selling them out to the enemy. It's also ok for Rhaenyra to kill all of them because it's not like there are any newborns lying around 👍.

Rhaenyra is now the only mother with infant children, and the show made a point of including a scene where she plays with them. This makes a huge difference to how the GA will precieve her in comparision to Alicent who only has adult children and Helaena who has one blink and you'll miss it 6 year old.

100% agree anon. every character that makes rhaenyra look bad is removed from the narrative altogether. nettles
