valentine’s spirit coursed through his veins, was in the very breath he breathed. he knew other’s contempt for the holiday, but he doesn’t see anything wrong with a little ( or a lot ) of love. sure his heart aches on the years where there is no one special, but he sees nothing wrong with dedicating the day to make another lonely heart happy. who needs relationships to spread love? the one day he tries to give himself to just surround himself in love and ignore the ache in his heart that tells him he’ll always be alone.
that is, until he stumbles upon the note that was clearly left for him to find. if it was meant to be a secret, she did a poor job, or maybe it was because he knew her better than she realized. ( there’s a distant thought that tells him that if he’s wrong it will be embarrassing for not just him. there’s a stronger part that tells him what is love if not a risk? ). it doesn’t take long to find her in the studio, and when he leans against the door in what he hopes looks just perfectly nonchalant, he holds up the note. “you know.. if you wanted to remain anonymous, you should have changed the handwriting.” he’s entering dangerous territory by acknowledging that he knows her handwriting by now, well enough that he figured it out within moments. “unless you weren’t trying to. i wouldn’t blame you. i’m a hot commodity especially on this day.”
