๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, he lazily waved a hand to flip the pages with his mind, revising the demons that he already knows are in the pages. As pointless as the young man thinks it might be, because he probably has every name etched intoย ย MEMORYย , a refresher might come in handy. After all, he might just have to vanquish whoever's after his newest charge. If only he could actually know what her powers are, if any, then that mightย ย HELPย even more. However, the Elders being their usualย ย CRYPTICย selves, only told him that he has to protect her. So Chris decided to watch her, inconspicuously following the young girl by the name of Rachel, hoping he might witness some kind ofย ย MAGICALย abnormality. So far, there's been nothing besides learning that she's a rather talented artist, who's the daughter of an exceedingly rich man. Not hard to find those in San Francisco.
That is, apparently, until now. The ringing in his ears is a warning that a charge is in immediateย ย DANGER,ย so the Halliwell orbs himself to her after sensing where she is. Appearing in a shower of white and blue lights in front of her, he materializes just in time to deflect a blow from a demon with a swing of his armโMaking the attacker be suddenly andย ย VIOLENTLYย thrown away. Turning to Rachel, he crouches before her on the floor with an offered hand.
ย ย ย ย โ You okay? โ Chris asks with sincere concern, helping her stand up again. There was no time for questions and answers, though, because the demon was up on his feet again as well. He groaned out, glaring at him. โ A white lighter? โ Then he glances to his would-be-victim, considering his options. โ Not just any white lighter, โ the half-witch states with aย ย CONFIDENTย smirk. Another swing of his hand and the demon is thrown harshly against the wall this time, but the Halliwell turns back to his charge. โ We gotta go. โ Not giving her the option of protesting, he places a hand on her shoulder and together, they orb out and back to the manor; appearing this time in the living room downstairs.
