Hello Rikka! I've been having some concerns, again, about getting into witchcraft as a Christian. Mostly during talking with my spouse, who's a very very Christian woman. She's the one that baptised me, even. Anyways, her worry is that she's shown me every verse in the bible that condems witchcraft and yet, I still have a lot of concerns and the urge to practice. Do you know if there's anywhere in the bible that says otherwise? I've looked but I think my nervousness gets in the way...
Hugs. It’s a hard path to venture down.
I’d suggest starting with Biblehub and other Bible comparison sites. Take the verses that seem to condemn witchcraft and see how they read in different versions of the Bible. Sometimes one version will say witchcraft when they really mean necromancy, divination, etc.
Honestly, most of the specific instances in the Bible to avoid such things are targeted to necromancy, divination (when used to attempt to know/understand God’s plan in advance), poisoners, etc. Most witches can avoiding doing such things. It sounds like the two of you need to really pray about it. Be open with each other. Explain what it is you want to start doing.
For instance, take candle magic. How different is it to take a candle, anointed with oil or not, carved with sigils or not, pray over it your intention and then allow it to burn out carrying out your wishes than taking a prayer candle, praying over it and lighting it while visualizing the smoke carrying your prayer up to God’s ear?
I wish you the best of luck and take the path slowly. No need to rush it.
YEEEEEEEES
Happy birthday, person with the same birthday as me! :D
THANKS and oh hey!!! happy birthday to you too!! 8^D hope its been a good one!!
As someone who has experienced emotional abuse as well, I find it ironic in the saddest way that Pengo seems to be reflecting what was done to him onto PK. It's harmful and self destructive. He's never going to get better that way.
this is similar to what i expressed when we first found the callout
people called me ableist and said that “feigning” sympathy for someone was a classic abuse tactic
i don’t even know what’s real any more
