The guild was a mess again after another guild brawl. Some mages weren’t awake yet from being hit with who knows what. Some were just now awaking up while there were just a few who somehow managed not to get hit with anything. Then there were the mages who were just returning from a job.

“Well we managed not to destroy any tables this time. Probably because Orga isn’t here.” Dobengal said as he walked around the guild and stepped over the unconscious. He folded his arms as he walked around, making sure members weren’t hurt severely and helped those to their feet.

“Yo! Dobengal!” A voice called. Turning around, the ninja saw a familiar man leaning against the entry of the guild. A face scar that went from his forehead to just under his right eye, a scar any Sabertooth member knew who it belonged too.

“Welcome back Dhoot. You missed the guild-” Dobengal didn’t get a chance to finish his sentence as he tripped over someone the ninja didn’t see. Dhoot saw and rushed over, jumping over a table. Making it in time as Dobengal faceplanted into the man’s chest. Dhoot blinked as he held the saber ninja who stared into the other’s chest.

‘. . .Did that seriously happen? I can’t believe I tripped over someone! I’ll get them in the next brawl.’ The ninja thought to his self as he slowly looked up to the other. ‘Wow, I’m super close to him.’

“…have a nice trip?” Dhoot asked as he laughed as Dobengal gave him an unamused face.

“Very funny Daniel.”

“I thought so myself.” He chuckled as Dhoot helped the ninja back onto his feet. “So…what’d I miss this time?”

Please tell me more about Dobenhoot. Any headcanons?

I guess I should start from the very beginning! Basically, my friends on Skype noticed a background character in one of the recent FT episodes and we named him Dhoot after @dreamingoffairys made a typo that said “dhoot me” instead of “shoot me”. Later it evolved into his full name, Daniel Hoot.

We jokingly started shipping him with Dobengal BUT then the ship became serious and Dhoot somehow ended up being a quite fully-fleshed character. I drew some art (there will be more!), @dreamingoffairys​ and @tokikurp​ wrote fics and so dobenhoot became a thing!

We also have an idea for his magic type. It’s Prediction, meaning he can to some extent see the opponent’s possible moves, but it only works if he’s really focused and he looks at the other person directly. He also uses basic Requip, of coursenot even close to Erza’s level, but he can summon simple weapons and small objects; he mostly uses double swords. Moreover, he’s pretty good at strategies and tactics. Personality-wise, he is a sweet cinnamon roll who can get serious if the situation calls for it.____________________

AND I guess it’s time for some dobenhoot headcanons! (It’s all fluff, to be honest) - thank you @tokikurp, @tooironictohandle @purpleddragon for the help with these!: 

• both Dobengal and Daniel are asexual; Dobengal is also demiromantic.

• as for their past/how their relationship kinda started, I’d recommend reading the “Unforgettable Scar” fic by @tokikurp - it’s great!

• Daniel likes to lay his head in Dobengal’s lap when the ninja meditates

• Dobengal scares the living shit out of Dhoot by randomly appearing in a room and Dhoot can never figure out how tf he got there

• Daniel is really lightweight. He drunkenly confessed to Dobengal when the Sabertooth gang went drinking and after a few shots he got all giggly and started nuzzling Dobengal’s shoulder and went “Dooobey why do you always have to wear this stupid mask when I want to kiss your stupid face”

• Dobengal once jumped when the toaster went off and Dhoot never let him live it down

• Daniel is a very serious hugger; Dobengal won’t admit it at first, but he also loves cuddling, he just needs his time to get used to the person.

• Dobengal is the big spoon; he always starts off as the little spoon, but somehow he makes his way out of it in the middle of the night and Daniel can never catch him in the act______________________________

I mean, it started out as an inside joke with the squad, but I am so happy that someone is actually interested in these two!!
