"Brendan Eder Ensemble (PREGNANT Remix)" by danielispregnant
Pregnant - John Raw (PBUH073)
Daniel Trudeau and the expanded Pregnant crew are back with us for their latest album, John Raw, a first segue into more conceptual songwriting. Exotic production and frenetic loops form a backdrop for Trudeau's characteristic weirdo-pop, and the character of 'John Raw' emerges in the album's pointed puns and in the infinitely delicate blending of audio influences; jazz, rap, R&B, spoken word, and free-form beats abound, with accents and vocal novelties making for unusually rich margins. The Sacramento News & Review ran a wonderful summary of the project this morning...
"Two years ago, Daniel Trudeau received a weird, cryptic email. Someone—or something—named John Raw needed help committing suicide from the digital world. It starts like this: 'I am John Raw. I am an intern at presence. My existence is a test that will display the symbiotic experiences of lives that can co-mingle within two social experiences/lives.'
John Raw then went on to define a few terms. 'One Duo' means a person who lives physically and digitally. 'Buried in the Garden' is someone completely submerged in the Internet. 'Kid Need' is the physical world. John Raw is 'Buried in the Garden' and wants to experience 'Kid Need' and therefore requires the help of 'One Duos.'
Trudeau is a 'One Duo' and sought the assistance of other 'One Duos,' those 20 other artists, to fabricate John Raw in the physical world so that John Raw can die in the digital world.
Who is John Raw? That’s a layered question. Let’s start with something slightly simpler: Who sent that first email? A person? A spambot?"

my friend daniel (aka pregnant) is writing songs for people for $5 a pop. this is my 'your song'. and it was totally worth $5.
Lyrics:
Dogs were fighting in the alley. Blood was shed I was smoking weed. 0;20. One dog dies, bullet through his head. Then the last dog standing, seeing clear instead of seeing red, Hunkers down on his opponent totally peaced out with his death. One Million Hits. Zack knew it. Ten Million Hits. Zack filmed it.

Among the many awesome events we've got lined up for the semester so far, I wanted to post this one up because I made it and looking at it through the lens of a tiny square on a facebook event didn't do it justice. So here you go. And if you're interested in attending, point your clicker here.
it's so hard finding music by Pregnant ;.;
We were introduced to Placerville, CA native Daniel Trudeau a.k.a. Pregnant by our west coast film friend, Sean Stout ( Terroreyes.tv ) and fell in love first listen to Life Hard: I Try.
"Life Hard: I Try is the fourth LP from Pregnant and is “an ode to all the outsiders,” according to the erstwhile and wonderful Daniel Trudeau. If you’ve heard his music or seen any image bearing his stamp of approval, you know he probably hasn’t developed his music with the support of the local society pages. Nevertheless, Daniel has dedicated this album to others. His latest offering is also his biggest musically – the production gives his bouncy poptronica a wide world to rove in, ranging from endearing and happy to the downright danceable. If you already knew Pregnant, then Life Hard: I Try will seem like part of a very natural progression; his signature loops and glitchy beats are all there, but now their self-assurance is complete and the end result is perfection." -Dwight (Crash Symbols)
